RAMMANG-RAMMANG HOUSE

Friendly family, rural life. If you want to do some voluntering by giving lessons to the children, this is a good place.

They were building a balcony, so it did not look very nice now. It’s really very simple. You can see true the walls of bedrooms and toilet. There is no normal path to get to the house and they are limited to water. We were lucky to be only with 2. If all rooms ( just cupboard walls) should be full, we would felt really crowdy. One room did not even have a door. We think they first finish a room ( some paint, decoration, just simple) before building further.

The property is super basic, with squat toilet and bucket shower etc. But the family are so warm and welcoming that i would rather stay here for the experience you get. My biggest worry that there might be big spiders because it was a rural area but I didn’t see any the night I stayed there.

Such an amazing place-the owners made us feel like family as soon as we walked through the door. The bed is very comfy and if you are ok with not having fancy facilities you will have everything you need, a bucket shower to clean up, a toilet and the best food to eat after a glorious day among the karst landscapes of Rammang Rammang. One of the best homestay experience I have ever had! I loved it here and hope I can be back soon.

Accommodation is really basic, but I would prefer to stay in this homestay than in 5 star hotel everyday. Owner is one of the most helpful guy that we have ever met. He picked us up from the airport, help us with trip around Rammang Rammang and also booked us bus to Toraja. Jesse can cook best fried rice in Sulawesi. Whenever I visit this part of Sulawesi again, I will stay in Rammang Rammang House for sure! Thanks for hosting us.

Yesi and her family are so kind hosts. What a warm welcome and beautiful stay. The house is very basic but has everything you need. Pictures describe it well. Food is absolutely amazing. We experienced authentic countryside life in Rammang-rammang. Thank you family, thank you sister. Terima kasih!

Everything was very good. The homestay has a really nice view, the family who runs it was very welcoming and sweet and the food they served was good as well. It truly felt like home. They can help you with getting around and getting tips if you need. Beware, the facilities were quite basic but to me that added to the authentic feeling of the homestay and the surroundings.

We had wonderful stay at Rammang-Rammang house. Nahar is a wonderful host and staying with her family left like staying home. The room is very comfortable, equipped with a fan and a mosquito net for the night. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk to the pier. Nahar organized for us a boat for sunrise so we could visit Rammang Rammang without crowds. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nothing, we’re coming back for sure!

This might be the most special experience we had during our trip in Indonesia. The nature in this area is absolutely stunning but to experience the warmth and love that this family has to offer is truly a gift. They took us to their local sport games, cooked amazing meals for us and invited us to their mothers house for dinner and a karaoke night. The room was above expectations including a very comfortable bed with mosquito net, ventilator and a place to hang your clothes. They arranged trips and transport for us, woke up at 5 am to make us breakfast so that we could experience the sunrise. No fancy hotel could top this for us and we hope we can come back someday <3

The owners are very welcoming and make you feel like at home. The view from the house is beautiful. We where invited to celebrate a wedding of one of the family member, it’s was such a nice experience.

The accommodation is quite basic but that’s expected when you go to a home stay. I fully recommend this place.
