Nethmi Homestay

Friendly family, organised safari for us and dropped to bus station on way bak.

We spent three nights at Nethmi Homestay while we were visiting the Cultural Triangle. Thanks to Supun, who took us on his own tuk tuk each day, we visited Aruradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya, driving around the countryside and also showing us some breathtaking spots. We felt so lucky and pleased to visit this part of the country in this way. The homestay was perfect for relaxing in the middle of the jungle. The breakfast prepared by the family was different each day and always delicious. We also had dinner there one night and it was delightful. Definitely a place to come back! :)

Very very friendly family, room with simple amenities, just enough to enjoy your stay. Nice terrace big enough to practice some yoga and have a dinner table and long chairs. Very cute little garden where I wish I could have spend more time. We travelled during a heavy rainy period... Not the easiest location to get to main attractions in Sigiriya. It is not far but you need to walk through ways that might be dangerous in the night. Better to arrange transportation at least in the night. They also took us to Kandy with tuk tuk for a very fair price.

The Place Is super quiet e paeceful, it's pretty easy to find tuctuc to go to centre. The family is warming and lovely, the offered us super breakfast and good advice. If you are looking for a magical and quiet Place in Sigirya I reccomend this.

Everything perfect lo

The owners where amazing!! They went above and beyond for anything we needed, even when my friend needed to go to the hospital. The friendliest and nicest ever. Also, the garden was a small paradise ♥️ Schedule some time to enjoy it. Air conditioning & mosquito net super important and this room has both. Bed was comfortable given that it is a Homestay. Things that could be better but still they are OK for a homestay in Sri Lanka: not much hot water, wifi a bit weak, no mosquito net on the door (overall though these are pretty standard problems of homestays)

Moisture in the room, but goes away with the airconditioner. If you have asthma, consider staying in a hotel, not a homestay.

The place is great and the family is really warm and welcome. They offer me tea and pancakes on arrival 🥹. The room was clean and comfy, with towel, toilet paper, soap and fan. They pick me up from another place for free and they offer a lot of tours. Breakfast was ok.

Very kind and helpful family. Nice, new and clean room. Beautiful garden. Good locality near Sigiriya. Nice breakfast - srilanka style, mostly vegan and sweet - srilanka's pancakes, buns, toasts, jam, tea, coffee, watter. We realy enjoyed time here.

I love the property. Also the family so nice and always polite. They prepare a nice breakfast and also they gave me some te out of hours. They also rent a bike! Thanks :)

A lot of humidity in the room

Lovely place, the family are very welcoming and helpful. Staff go above and beyond to help you out. They have a tuk tuk so will often drive you where you need to go (for reasonable prices). They also helped organise our safari.
