Kavidi Villa Home Stay

We really felt at home here! Delicious food clearly made with love. Accommodation is clean and comfortable - AC room with fan, mini fridge etc. However, the highlight of our stay was definitely the exceptional service and treatment from the host.

After 6 weeks this was one of our more expensive homestays so very used to these properties all over Sri Lanka. With this one location good as only 10 minutes walk down track.to Secret beach. Rooms decent size and bed comfortable with mosquito nets and Aircon. Also had kettle for tea and coffee. Small seating area outside but no cushions so not too comfortable and very hot as property surrounded very closely by walls so no breeze.

Property enclosed by walls and gates right in front of you, rooms fairly dark. Bathroom painted black so again very dark. Not really a garden as we faced a gate when sitting outside room, ok but but not expected from description. Kavidi explained how important top reviews are on a few occasions. Being honest about reviews is so important to me and avoids people being disappointed on arrival. This homestay is ok but not really a 9 based on our other 10 stays in the last month It is very convenient for the beach and OK for a short visit. By the way our breakfast was fruit, Rotti and toast with jam picture attached, we did get eggs on the first day so probably ask as we didn't on the second day👍

Kavidi (host) received us just like we were in our home :) The room was very good and clean. We also had breakfast which was amazing! And if needed shashika can also give you rides in his tuk tuk. The location is good since it is very close to the beach. Thank you so much for the staying, was very nice!

Nice quiet place. The food is really good and the owners helpful ! The room was perfect, clean and beautiful. Very good location just a short walk to Silent Beach.

We had an amazing stay at a wonderful room located in a beautiful garden. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and it's just a pleasure to be there. The breakfast was so good: sri lankan pancakes and lots of delicious fresh fruit! We would recommend it and come back.

Kavidi does a great job with this homestay. She is a very attentive and friendly host, who really made us feel at home. Her husband is a TukTuk driver which is quite convenient for trips to the city. Their sweet dog Lucky also adds to the charm of this homestay. Every morning we had a lovely breakfast, which we got to enjoy on the terrace in front of our room. For Lunch and Dinner we went to one of the many family owned restaurants nearby and enjoyed all of them. You can also choose to stay at the Homestay and eat or have a drink there. The location is amazing! It takes about 5 minutes by foot to get to Silent Beach, which is absolutely stunning and filled with little shops where you can get a coconut or cool drinks and stay on their sunbeds for the day. If you cross Silent beach to get to the next beach, you will find a bay straight out of a picture book where you can surf and if you´re lucky see some turtles. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a dreamy beach getaway!

So happy to have chosen this place! Peaceful atmosphere, kind owners, great location. Clean, nice room with terrace, AC and mosquito net. Amazing hosts that prepared for us dinner. Very close to Silent Beach wich is beautiful. Highly recommended.

This was one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka. We stayed 2 night and if we could, we would stay much longer. It was such a lovely place. The room was clean and the bed was really cozy. Very good breakfast, good location close to silent beach. Host is amazing and taking care of everything. We are sure, that we will come back :) Great stay, Thank you very much!

Just wow. Kavidi made our stay in Tangalle so special. You get a taste of local life staying here, but with added luxury. Kavidi went out of her way to make our stay as special as possible. She left us tea facilities in the room, a book of Sri Lanka, a mosquito plug (as there are many of them in Sri Lanka) and a new bar of soap. There was hot water and brilliant air conditioning in our room. The bed was clean and comfortable. She also prepared us really good breakfast. We will always remember our stay here and we hope to return in the future! Thank you Kavidi for being such a beautiful kind soul ❤️
