Vanilla Cottage Tetebatu

Hir and his wife are very kind and friendly. The food here is delicious! Location is great, just a short walk from monkey forest. The cottage is clean and it has everything you need. I would stay here again!

The wifi doesn't reach the room. The mattress on the bed next to the bathroom is sagging and uncomfortable :(

The staff is great! Really friendly and helpful. I like the breakfast and the coffee. Well location.

More furniture would be great to not place everything on the floor, although this is a western thinking and everything else was great.

Hir was the most amazing host! He was very welcoming and kind, not to mention extremely helpful. We did not just enjoy our stay with his lovely family, we also had the honor to be guided by him an entire day through the beautiful rice terasses and waterfalls. Besides being an excellent guide, he also knew everybody and everything..leading us to wonderful hidden spots! We are really thankful, especially for his help with transport and transit to Flores! We can only recommend staying at the Vanilla Cottage Tetebatu for a peaceful and interesting stay with calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Really beautiful location, incredibly friendly host family, and amazing food! Our host gave us great local tours of the area and arranged transport for us from the other side of the island.

Amazing host, property and location - Hir welcomed us like family, and was a great tour guide! We got to stay in his newly built cottage which was LUXURY. Squeaky clean, best beds, pillows, bathroom, everything, and MORE! His wife made a hearty and fresh chicken curry but my personal favourite was their banana pancakes. His dog Bebe was the sweetest and guided us in our hikes and little daughter Pani was adorable. Do not hesitate if you want to immerse yourself in local culture and still have comfort at the same time. Highly recommend / the best experience in Lombok so far!

It can be a little too casual to plan tours together just make sure to ask for details of what the tours you take entail and how much they cost. (We went on a walking tour of the village and didn't know the conditions of the waterfalls. I slipped and fell into the rock with my camera ~ totally my fault but would have been more prepared if I had known..However, do not miss out on the waterfall, especially Sarang Walet! it's beautiful.)

It’s a basic accommodation in the village in the middle of rice fields. We had a two room apartment with bathroom. Everything was clean. Hot water in the shower. The place is owned by a very nice family. The owner is super friendly and speaks very good English. He told us a lot of information about the area and Lombok history as well as all plants and herbs. We took a tour with him through the rice fields, two waterfalls and we saw a large group of monkeys. We had a stop at the spice shop for coffee and we could buy some locally grown spices. it was a great experience. The food was cooked by owner’s wife and was delicious. I highly recommend this experience!

Very nice people, a place to experience local culture of Lombok.

The owner is really helpfull and wants to show many things which is really nice. There are some beautiful waterfalls and rice fields nearby (the dog bebet is also a good guide and likes to bring you around ;) ) They also serve food for breakfast and dinner which is nice as well

The accomodation is basic, which is not a bad thing but good to know beforehand

You come here as a tourist and go as a friend! Hir let you feel at home from the first moment. You can enjoy fresh, homemade kitchen which is very delicious. I stayd here 4 days and made so nice tours. Walking to the monkey forest, trough the ricefields and the nearby waterfall. The next day we visited a village were they are waving sarongs and I also could learn alot about bamboo. Whatever you want to experience Hir will organize for you. I can highly recommend the place- I'm sure I will come back!
