We are a family of 4 with 2 small children of 5 and 8, we had such a great time with hir and his family. Hir is also a guide who can take you highking or discover the country in motobikes for a good price. The whole village is friendly and smiling, one of our favourite places in Indonesia.

"perfect stay in the nature"

the staff is really kind, Andi was the best guide ever! He took us to the rice fields and the spices place tour, it was lovely to learn all those things about nature! I really recommend doing this. The room was like on the pictures, you have a bed and a bathroom, just what you need! it’s in the middle of nowhere so of course some insects can be inside. Maybe the gecko will say good night to you 😁

We had a wonderful stay at Hirs place. He is one of the funniest guys we have met in our lives and was very friendly and caring. We ate delicious local food every day prepared by Hirs wife. Hir took us on a lovely walk around the area which was very beautiful. If you come to Lombok you must stay here! It was the highlight of our trip and very special.

"perfect little homestay"

the whole experience of staying at vanilla cottages was the best we’ve had in the last 5 months of travelling. Hir and his lovely family were amazing hosts - their food was delicious (and made vegan on request) he took us on a tour of the village and also to visit the waterfalls and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were great, comfy bed, hot shower, hammocks and beautiful scenery. We felt so at home and we’re so sad to leave - can’t wait for our next visit !

nothing - we could’ve stayed longer if we had more time !
