"Just a fine homestay 👍"

It was close to the reserve and we could see a couple of animals like monkeys and deers. At the end we were very kindly offered some jackfruit and it was tasty 😁

No toilet paper available. We had to pay 1 euro per roll for it. There were not enough towels for everybody also. It's 15 min walking from the centre.

"Would do it again in a heartbeat"

We stayed for only two nights and came for a hiking and rafting tour in Periyar tiger reserve but saw Malabar giant squirrels, samba deer, and lots of different monkeys from our balcony at the homestay … the hosts are super lovely, friendly and helpful, they supported us with car transfer and activities. We felt very welcomed and well taken care of. Their dog max is a real sweetheart as well. Rooms are very tidy and the shared kitchen and dining area provides everything you basically need. Great location for nature lovers, we’d definitely consider coming back again! Above and beyond our expectations!

George and Shanti were very friendly, welcoming, hospitable and helpful. The keralan breakfasts cooked by Shanti were very tasty. We saw wild boar every evening from our balcony overlòking the forest.

"Peaceful location with super hosts and a great location."

The breakfast was home made, fresh using local ingrediants, simple but tasty. The location was perfect, quite away from the busy town on the edge of the wildlife reserve, opportunities to see local wildlife. The host were super friendly and very keen to point out sightings of animals whem they showed up. Balacony overlooked the reserve

There was nothing to dislike.

"Seeing an animal is purely by luck"

The property is next to the forest. There may be an opportunity to see animals in night, if we are lucky. However, animal movements are unpredictable, and it is purely by luck. I had a high expectation when I paid the premium price for this facility, but later I have realised that seeing an animal in a small piece of land is very rare.

There is no cooking facility although it is a homestay. The house owner forced me to do all his paperwork for about first 30 minutes, although other operators do themselves.
