Hmong house Sapa

The view from the house is absolutely amazing and made our stay even more enjoyable. The house was spotless, clean, and well-maintained. I also loved having breakfast while overlooking the beautiful rice terraces and mountains—it was such a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The host was incredibly helpful, responsive, and always answered our questions quickly. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

De mensen waren ontzettend vriendelijk! Het ontbijt is vrij laat (08:30), maar wij vroegen twee keer vroeger ontbijt en dit was geen enkel probleem. Ook hebben we een keer meegegeten in de avond en dit was erg lekker en gezellig. Ze denken graag met je mee. Onze laatste dag vroegen wij om een late check out om 18:30, dit was (ik denk mede door het laagseizoen) geen enkel probleem en dit was ontzettend fijn voor ons.

Hoewel we in de recensies hadden gelezen dat de homestay ver weg is van Sapa, dachten we dat het wel mee zou vallen. Dit deed het niet. Het is vanaf Sapa 30 minuten met de taxi. Je krijgt er een mooie vallei voor terug, maar met excursies of tours is het lastig omdat dit altijd vanuit Sapa is. Het betekent dat je elke keer 30 minuten extra moet rekenen en 250.000 dong per enkele rit. Als je er meerdere dagen bent, tikt dit best aan. Wat mij ook erg opviel is dat ik 4 van de 5 nachten wakker ben geworden door een hond die om 03:00 ‘s nachts begon te blaffen. Dit verstoorde toch een beetje de nachtrust als je gevoelig bent voor geluid. Dit was niet de hond van de homestay, deze hond was heel rustig en maakte geen geluid. De eigenaren kunnen hier natuurlijk niets aan doen, maar het is wellicht prettig om te weten.

Die Aussicht war wunderschön und die Familie sehr gastfreundlich. Das gemeinsame Abendessen war ausgesprochen lecker. Insgesamt eine ruhige und schöne Atmosphäre. Uns wurde bei den Nachbarn sogar noch gezeigt wie die Hmong traditionell leben.

WLAN-Signal war häufig unterbrochen.

Posto incantevole e perfetto per immergersi nella vita e cultura locale dei Hmong che sono un popolo stupendo (per favore conservate le vostre splendide tradizioni!). Nel cuore del villaggio e nonostante sia immerso nella natura è vicino a ristoranti e bar. La posizione è ottima se cerchi un'esperienza più autentica,lontana dal caos di Sapa centro. La colazione era buona.

Il punteggio basso che a malincuore do a questo luogo è dovuto al fatto che le fotografie non rispecchiano per nulla l'alloggio che ci è stato dato, perché le foto sono soltanto dei bungalow! Se opterete per la stanza nella casa l'esperienza sarà molto diversa. La pulizia era davvero scarsa: lenzuola poco pulite e il bagno in comune avrebbe potuto presentarsi meglio. Inoltre la stanza era molto piccola e aveva vetrate che però non si potevano aprire,creando molta umidità all'interno. Inoltre la struttura organizza escursioni molto belle con guide locali (che abbiamo fatto e apprezzato molto) e altri servizi (trasporti,pasti etc). I servizi sono buoni tuttavia credo che sarebbe bello offrire tariffe agevolate ai propri ospiti che scelgono attività proposte dalla struttura, e invece erano in linea con i prezzi di altre compagnie,se non maggiorati. Siamo contenti che i nostri soldi arrivino direttamente nelle tasche di locali ma se vengono maggiorati si rischia di non poterseli permettere (infatti il costo della cena per noi era troppo elevato),ma magari non per tutti è così!

The view from the hotel room and breakfast area are amazing.

It cost about VND250,000 one way, to and from the hotel to Sapa town. But you can hire Grab bike for less than VND100,000 per person.

De mensen waren mega lief, gastvrij en behulpzaam. Ze hebben speciaal voor ons een later ontbijt gemaakt omdat we snachts aankwamen. En hele snelle laundry service ook. Mega mooi uitzicht, heerlijk om tot rust te komen. Speciale dank naar de gastheer, die het top regelde voor ons!

We had a little trouble finding it initially because our taxi dropped us off down the road a bit, but once we arrived, WOW. The view was absolutely stunning!! We got there early in the morning so they let us rest in a room until ours was available. We were able to sit for beautiful breakfast and coffee surrounded by the rice terraces. Our room (bungalow) was extremely comfortable and also had the most breathtaking views (we were so lucky with great weather). Dinner was additional but totally worth it. We also joined two AMAZING TOURS which I highly recommend booking through them if you stay. One day we went on a hike to a waterfall through the terraces, had lunch at a local place, and ended it with a medicine bath. The next day we booked a motorbike tour through the villages, had some great coconut coffee, and conversations with our guides. 10/10 recommend staying here.

Really amazing hospitality, Su is so lovely & friendly. Our needs were well taken care of and she even packed us a breakfast bento for our bus to Sapa at 6:40am. Plus, the view is amazing!
