Homestay Eve

The location was very central and easy to access by public transport. The host was very lovely and the breakfast provided was home cooked and delicious with generous servings. The room was a good size and kept warm.

Having to leave Seoul :( we would have happily stayed longer.

Steep and narrow stairs so big and heavy luggage has to be careful bringing up and down.

Mrs.Kim, is a superb host. Very friendly, cheerful and helpful. She prepares delicious korean style breakfast. Location is very close to shopping street, subway and airport limousine. Olive young and Daiso is close by. You can enjoy streetfood in the night market few hundreds meters away from the house.

My first time staying in a guesthouse where the owner shares the same facilities with their guests, so it was a bit uncomfortable at first as we were used to with a privacy provided by a hotel/apt. However, since she is a very nice lady we don’t have any problem staying there and feel like we experienced living with a korean family. And you should not bring big/heavy lugages as you have to carry them to the third floor.

Living so nearby the metro station and in the cute and quiet part of Myeong Dong. Just under the Namsan Tower, you’ll be in the middle of lots of attractions. Room is good, with aircon and korean breakfast was the best way to start our day. Eve and her son are very cute and will do anything to help you. I recommend it 100% 🥰🥰🥰

Not suitable for people that can’t walk stairs. Amazing and cute host but thought she’d speak better English to have more conversations.

I liked seeing a mom with her son, just like me. I booked Homestay Eve because it was the last leg of a long vacation with just me and my son and I figured I would need someone to identify with and somewhere to feel at home. The place is relatively easy to find. She provided good directions, but I didn’t need to use them.

On our first day, we hauled our four suitcases on our own up the three flights of stairs and plopped down for the day. A few hours later, a man came in and went straight to the refrigerator. I said hello, he said hi and that was about it. Not very welcoming. The place is small so I felt it was important that they say SOMETHING to show us the ropes (i.e. this is how you use the shower, here’s the microwave, water to drink, etc) but we just felt we were in the way. She did cook us breakfast, which was really good, but again we felt we had to eat fast and be on our way. We had shared we had a tour the next day and that we needed to leave early so no need to worry about breakfast the next day. Well, that night, I was woken up by the sound of someone being intimate with their partner upstairs at around 2:30 in the morning. Shortly after, there was drunk rattling at the door and it sounded like maybe 3 or 4 people had come in, they broke a glass, I believe they heated up some food, etc. meanwhile I’m in the room praying they don’t wake up my son since we had to be up at 6 (about 3 hrs later). Needless to say, I was upset and we booked another hotel. There’s really no point in booking this place, there are plenty of other spots nearby like Namsan Hostel or Zaza. We chose Pacific Hotel which was about the same price and absolutely loved it.

I wish i had stayed longer...the hostess is absolutely a delight and she wants to make sure you have a great time, we went out for dinner and drinks, she is very funny and very nice (despite language barriers, it is easy with papago or google translate). The room was very nice and comfortable, it is a real Korean room with all decorations), it is very clean and quiet, location is fantastic, i felt so welcome, it was great! Thank you so much!

The guesthouse is located close to cafes, restaurants, shops and train station. The breakfast meals prepared by the friendly host were delicious and diversified. The room was spacious and quiet at night.
