Casa 39-37

Cozy and clean room. Location was central, everything in walking distance since it's inside the city walls. The lady of the house was very friendly even though she didn't speak English, but we understood each other and she helped me to withdraw money because I had an issue with the ATM. I really enjoyed my stay, would stay again! :)

The dogs ( which were cute ) were barking often and if this kind of thing bothers you then it might be annoying at times. I didn't mind, but just know that these little guys are a bit noisy. Also the padlock on the front door was a bit annoying to use every time you were entering and exiting the house. I understand it's for safety, but just a bit inconvenient.

The location was excellent.

Great check in experience, welcoming and helpful owners, great location, close to everything. We used the fridge, cold drinking water was available. AC worked well. Water and AC are the most important things in Cartagena :)

Room was small, no outside window like many other hostels in Colombia. It was not a big problem because we spent a lot of time outside.

San Diego is a quiet, clean part of town and a great start for touring the Walled City since it's near (and inside) the entrance. It is in front of a mall that has great shopping, dining, and a beautiful fountain show in the evenings. We had a great evening having drinks with the owner and her family who were very welcoming. If we had any questions, they were quick to answer (especially since they were locals). Since it's a hostel it is best for solo travelers . You do get your own room with a TV, A/C, and a bathroom that's a couple feet outside your door. The best thing is that it's great if you're on a budget.

Excellent location. Close to old town and restaurants without being noisy.

Best for Spanish speakers as the host did not speak English.

No window so was a bit stuffy, was fine with the aircon though.

The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and made me feel very welcome. Great breakfast, nice room and a good location, too. Can only recommend staying here!
