Mike's Luxury House

Mike was very nice. He helped me with my laggage and call for a taxi. That helped me a lot. During my 6 nights stay he changed the towls to fresh ones. The location was great, close to the station and the bus stop. I was lucky to stay at Mike's Luxry House!

Mike is very amenable and welcoming. The exterior of the house is beautiful.

The property is more suited to guests with a vehicle. It is a long walk to shops, especially if you are disabled. It is a 5-7 min walk to the closest sky train into Vancouver, which is convenient Unfortunately I like to watch the news at night. No TV. Many of the properties a block away are currently sold and for demolition to build multi storied high rise.

Location was very good. The host was very friendly and approachable, even offering me a cup of coffee when I arrived. The room was spacious and had lovely big windows onto the front street! I would stay again because of the location and the difficulty getting hotel rooms in Vancouver at a reasonable price. This was definitely good value overall.

The house is not sound proofed so any noise from other guests is heard very clearly. Some guests arrive late or depart early so their movement wakes up the house. I could hear an entire telephone conversation from another guest using his speakerphone at about 4am - travelling from another time zone obviously and not realizing how the sound carried! This is obviously not the host's fault, but if would be nice to have the rooms soundproofed to avoid this being an issue.

Very convenient, close to train station, host Mike super friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable room.

Property was only a few minutes walk from the Skytrain at Oakridge & 41st Avenue giving easy access to Downtown Vancouver and Airport. Property was very comfortable and Mike was happy to deal with any questions we had or provide assistance to make our stay more comfortable. Great start to our road trip around BC.
