Mike's Luxury House

There was no breakfast. Or coffee / tea in the room or available for the morning.

The lack of standard amenities in the room. Coffee or tea making facilities - kettle at least, or a Nespresso-style machine. And more bottled water in the fridge. One bottle for a two night stay was insufficient.

The room was spacious, clean, and had a fridge if required. Would recommend to stay at this place

The check out time is 1000, contrary to the listed 1100.

Host was very accommodating, working with us on different check in and out times. Let us keep luggage there and retrieve on our way out of town. Bed was very comfortable.

Was pretty expensive for the accomodations (was Vancouver Marathon 23k+ people) weekend.

The neighborhood is safe and pretty. Public transportation really convenient. The house and the room is luxurious.

Price a little too high. Didn't find a place to cook. One spider net in a very far corner of the bedroom.

Location was great. Away from town but within walking distance to train and busses. Very quiet location.

The property is located in a very quiet street and just a few minute walk from the train station. The host, Mike, is such a nice fellow, very helpful and very kind.

My room is upper stairs, but the shared bathroom is down stairs. Normally this is not an issue. But in my case, after a marathon race, it is kind of hard to climb the stairs. Mike, the host, was so kind and understanding. When I got back to my room and I said to Mike I would like to use kitchen to boil some hot water. But I got so tired and I just stayed in my room for next 30 minutes or so. Mike, then, brought, a cup of hot water to my room. Such a sweet guy!

Mike is so friendly and helpful. It was my first accommodation in Vancouver. To live there was like living in my own house. I enjoyed those 3 days. The location was perfect. It is close to the sky train but still quiet and beautiful.

No private bath room.
