View Valley Homestay

Very peaceful place. The room was comfortable and clean. The food you can order is good and breakfast is really tasteful. The family makes your stay amazing, they are very warm and lovely people. I can def recommend this place!

This place is nested in a peaceful valley a few minutes walk from the main road, our double room is exceptionally spacious, bright and clean. Wifi is good. The small garden is a nice place to relax. Simi is very helpful and accommodating, she provided useful info about Munnar and organised taxi and auto for us to tour around. She recommended Selva from Munnar Hills Trekking which turned out to be a highlight. We were greeted by Simi's smiling face and tasty tea in the morning and when we returned to the homestay. She always asked us what we needed. There is nothing we don't like as we really love the calm and tranquil valley surroundings. This place is good value for money but there are something I want to point out: Some people might like to stay higher up with mountain views. Most homestays are outside Munnar Town, a typical busy noisy dusty town without much to offer but from there attractions in different directions start. Simi's place is approx. 20km away, it's totally fine with us as she booked a taxi for us at reasonable price. The walk to the main road is a bit steep (but well paved) if guests want to catch a public bus, which we were told passing by every 30 minutes. There isn't any proper restaurant nearby, just a simple eatery and 2 small stores up the main road. This doesn't bother us as we were out from early morning to late evening. We didn’t eat at the homestay either although Simi would be happy to organise meals if we ever needed so.

Great stay and beautiful family

The homestay has the sweetest host. She takes care of everything pretty well. The stay was just very peaceful and complete.

This isn't about the stay but this homestay is appearing while searching for Munnar, but it is more than 20kms away, so this is something Booking.com should clarify otherwise it could be a hiccup for the tour plan.

Perfect

The family went out their way to ensure we had the best stay possible. They sorted out food on our late arrival and were always smiling and friendly. It’s so nice being away from all the noise and can relax. I would definitely recommend you stay here as it’s on the bus route so easy enough to get to and back from Munnar.

Mattress is quite hard.
