Good value for money, close to city centre

No free off road parking (for quite a distance), resident permit parking only in the immediate vicinity, though parking available within the block of flats itself if space (busy in the day). Owner was very responsive, and is going to kindly update advert to give more advice on how to access this.

That I had a roof over my head and a door that I could lock. Wifi available. Manchester was great.

The area was dark and off a side street. The flat smelt of meat or something like that - it permeated all the rooms. As a Vegan this was particularly distressing and I found myself gaging when out of the bedroom. In the bedroom I could open windows but then very noisy. I met the owner when trying to find the kitchen. He only had a towel wrapped around his lower half. I felt awkward rather than unsafe. Although he said I could use the room and kitchen, it felt out of bounds as the doors were kept shut. I kept myself to myself and was pleased that I had a plan to be out from dawn to dusk. The bathroom was disgusting and I could not bring myself to use the shower.

The location was fine.

There was a lock on the outside of the bedroom door, the room wasn't clean, the towel was like cardboard, the heating system emitted a loud hum, the hallway stunk of weed. Do not book here. I could not stay there so had to book somewhere else and left immediately. The owner refused to give a full refund even though there was no way it was safe for a lone female traveller. I felt very unsafe.

The room was nice, the bed comfortable and the location, more or less what ai already knew.

The bathroom is a mess. The wall below the bathtub is falling apart, and the tub is pretty dirty. I had to ask for a towel a couple of times because I didn't have one when I arrived. The place isn't welcoming. All the doors are locked all the time, but you don't know if anyone is there, and that makes you feel unsafe. You're supposed to be able to use the kitchen, but since the doors are locked, I didn't feel like going.
