Riverside Stay

A really beautiful setting and such a comfy bed. The hosts were delightful and every single little thing was thought of… fresh flowers and candles in my room, a lovely welcome pack and a perfect breakfast including home baked muffins which were packed up for me to take on my journey! just excellent!

Anything under a 10 would be short selling this place. Our hosts Richard & Denise were amazing. Breakfast was organic and wonderful. We probably ate too much breakfast each day as there was such a variety. Any tastes were catered for. At last we found a bathroom in the UK that was both practical and comfortable. Big shower (that didn't leak) lots of room for toiletries, plenty of room for two people at the same time, warm and very clean and modern. The bedroom was large and comfortable and we even had a snug for TV and snacks and tee and coffee supplied at any time. WiFi was very fast and reliable. Plenty of room to do any work on a laptop. lots of power points for phones and computers. We also did a short wall along the Tamar River which you can see from the room. We even had our own balcony. The house is very quiet. We would be happy to move here permanently.

Not a big issue but if you have a low slung sports car the last 50 meters of road to the house is too rutted. SUVs, 4WD and higher sedans are OK but drive carefully. Just another warning... don't go here if you are on a diet :-) Denise is a wonderful cook and you won't be able to resist all the treats.

Amazing place tucked away along the river . We were welcomed on our arrival , house was wonderful , open and bright . Private snug with everything you could have wanted . Many special touches in bedroom and snug.

Excellent hosts, great location, fabulous breakfasts

Superb! no other word is adequate. The property is in a lovely setting, backing onto the River Tamar, and exceptionally maintained both inside and out. Hosts are friendly, gracious and take pains to be unobtrusive. Other than ourselves there were no other guests, and we understand that at the current time this is the norm. Guests have unrestricted use of a "Snug" where coffee and biscuits are available. The "Snug" is used as the breakfast room.

My location assessment relates to the access road (Bealswood Road), which is a single two lane road with single lane tarmac that deteriorates into a potholed track about 100 metres before the residence. The hosts have no control over this but it rates a mention as low clearance vehicles might occasion underbody damage. To her credit Denise told me about this in an email immediately after booking, so warnings are given.

Richard & Denise were fantastic hosts. Staying there was like receiving a warm hug. The breakfasts that Denise makes were fabulous 😍 and the advice that Richard gives on destinations to visit was invaluable. Would recommend this B&B to anyone who likes to be looked after.

Denise and Richard are exceptional hosts. Warm and very welcoming. The whole stay was complete luxury and far exceeded our expectations. Every little thing had been carefully thought about from the amazing breakfast to little treats and the wonderful room/house. Shame we were only there for 1 night, will be sure to go back. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you.
