Counting Sheep

The location was excellent, in an attractive village just down the road from Monsall Head. It was a 'DIY' room, let yourself in, breakfast hamper to help yourself from. The host came and introduced himself, which was nice.

The porridge pots didn't thicken very well! But otherwise we had a lovely stay.

Welcoming as soon as we arrived. Helpful, friendly hosts who ensured we had a great visit. Loved the theme with Sheep on towels, bedding decorations etc. Location is excellent, in village of Great Longstone and 3 pubs. You can walk everywhere from here. Would highly recommend staying here either for relaxation or exploring the beautiful Peak District.

Spacious, everything provided, themed around sheep, views from windows to distances. Was close to my course event, good local facilities.

I knew before I arrived that a breakfast hamper was provided, but not the same as contact. Although the owner came round for a chat. So it was more of a room/self catering flat.

The bed was uncomfortable for us but we are in our 70 and used to a softer mattress

Lovely well equipped accommodation, all your needs catered for , lots of nice touches complimentary breakfast items , variety of teas and coffee makes it extra special. Couldn’t recommend more , location is great fantastic pub round the corner The Crispin excellent food . Andy & Lisa are lovely hosts thank you we will definitely visit again
