Counting Sheep

Venue for our stay was excellent for our plans in the peak district. Contact and information from the owners was very helpful .refreshments and facilities in the property was very good .

We arrived late due to a family crisis and were met by lovely words of comfort. Actually met the owner and had a lovely chat. Everything clean, tidy and comfortable. Piping hot shower and little basket of treats.

Nothing, being picky different blinds as we couldn't open blinds till fully clothed but that's personal preference.

This is our 2nd stay and we were so glad it was available. The room is cosy and gives you all you need for a really pleasant short stay. The village is beautiful and has great pubs and food. It is also an easy walk to the Monsal Trail and the Bridgeford Estate / Quackers Café.

It would be nice if there was a mini fridge rather than a cooler box, but no big deal.

The room was so cute, the decoration was amazing, it was comfortable, warm, and cosy. It was also very quiet and we weren't disturbed at all during our stay.

The location was perfect for exploring the Peaks and 2 pubs round the corner for food/drinks. We loved the sheep touches in the room too.

Furnished in lovely sheep theme. Good sized room. Nice sitting area and bed. We appreciated breakfast basket. Excellent location. The village boasts 3 good pubs. All do food. Lots of places to do short walks or big hikes.

I loved that every little detail was taken care of. Sewing kit, books, maps, even a fan - that's incredible attention to detail. I really appreciated variety of coffee!

Excellent location. Very clean. Great breakfast selection.

The only observation we would make is that there was little surface space in the bathroom to lay out our wash items near the sink whilst washing. A small thing in the context of the whole experience.
