Ananda Homestay

We had the most amazing time here due to our lovely hosts. The homestay is lovely and clean with a great view from our patio. Putu ( the wife) cooks delicious meals (especially the blayag bali). We did a day trip around the area with Widi (the husband) and my friend and I both said that it was our favourite day of our 3 months in south east asia so far. The nature is captivating, i’ve never seen anything as spectacular before. I couldn’t recommend this homestay enough, our hosts were so so so accommodating and kind. Nice accommodation surrounded by nature! The hosts are really welcoming and nice, they are lovely and willing to do anything. The food is really great as well.

The only issue we had was with the cleanliness of the accommodation. A lot of insects, mainly in the bathroom. But what else can you expect in the middle of the jungle.

delicious breakfast and amazing, quiet location where you can feel close to the nature. it is the best option if you have motorbike. the family who runs this place is really lovely, helpful and carrying. they has they said “big heart in a small house”. highly recommended!!

We were hosted by a really nice, young couple and were received with a warm welcome as well as fresh fruit from their garden. It is perfectly located to visit the waterfalls which we did by joining the private tour offered by our host. We definitely had the best time with him and will remember it as one of our best memories in Bali. Grateful for all the good pics he took of us🙏

The lady was really nice, and the breakfast was great. Nature around is beautiful and the place is very quiet. We decided to stay for 2 out of 3 days and they refunded part of our last day, which was a nice gesture. The lady also gave us an extra breakfast as a snack for our departure.

The walls are really moldy, so the air was super smelly and unhealthy. Be prepared for all kinds of animals 🪳🕷🦎🦟🐸 We had an unexpected visitor as we reached and spent some time trying to get rid of it. Sadly, the water heater was not working during our stay and the cold water in this area is freezing, so that was very uncomfortable (especially for a woman in her days). Also, this is not Ananda's fault, but the area is very expensive for tourists (transport costs around 600k IDR to get to/from this area to/from the center of Bali, or to Mount Batur), and locals are doing their best to empty tourists pockets if you want to explore the area such as the Sekupul Waterfall.

The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond too make sure you enjoyed your stay as well as arrange guide/transport to view the local waterfalls. Would recommend Ananda for anyone who wants to hear the serenity of the jungle.
