Ananda Homestay

Beautiful location and homestay in the jungle of north Bali. We could easily contact the owners by phone. Pickup/drop off and several tours available. The owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. The breakfast and extra food we ordered at the homestay was amazing. There’s also a very good laundry service at the neighbours. During the taxi drives we learned a lot about the Bali way of living and Hinduism. The tour to the waterfalls is highly recommended (including a delicious coconut drink!). Overall a very nice homestay and highly recommended if you want to avoid the crowds.

Would be nice to have a filtered water tap. Also the WiFi is not the fastest in the world, but that’s because it’s quite remote.

Magical place in paradise! The staff is super friendly and they make sure you have the best time. We loved staying at Ananda Homestay and the staff took us on waterfall day tour which was incredible!

The owners made up for what was lacking in some areas. They did everything they could to help in anyway they could. It was a jungle stay so I didn’t expect everything to be oerfect but it was a place of refuge as to most other places in Bali on the tourist mao

Soundproofing the rooms, it was like you were in the same room together and unfortunately there is the local tip that burns everything just 199!metres away. I was woken in the night by the smell of burning plastic and it didn’t lift from the valley until about 10 the next morning

The people at Ananda were really amazing, they totally made our stay. We got welcome drinks and they helped my girlfriend when she got sick. The food there was also good! When your there i would also recommend doing the waterfall tour with them, good price and amazing experience. The guide was wonderful, knew all the good spots and great photographer. All in all would really recommend this place, it was splendid.

Amazing location in the forest. Very quiet, just the sound of the river and birds. The family is amazing, very friendly and can’t do enough to look after you. A very great day was organized to see Aling Aling and Sekumpul waterfalls.

If you have noisy neighbors you hear everything.

I liked each and everything about this place. The hosts are wonderful humans. Widi and his wife made sure we didn't have any problems during our stay. The place is so near to all major waterfalls in the area. Fiji, Sukumpul waterfall all are just 10 minutes by motorbike. Widi also arranges for the waterfall tour and gives much much much more reasonable price compared to what others offer there. Widi's place is huge. Trust me pictures on booking.com don't do justice to this place. Bathrooms are huge with hot water. It's simply beautiful. His wife prepares delicious food specially Chicken curry. We were served free breakfast every morning according to our convenient time. There is a small waterfall near to his place approximately 250 mtrs. You can enjoy a bath there too. I bought cloves from Widi's small farm. This family takes extra steps to take care of guests. They don't have regular staff as such and it's a family run homestay but I didn't feel even the slightest inconvenience about anything here. This is my fixed place now whenever I come to North Bali. They also offer pick up and drop services. I was also allowed to use their kitchen to make tea and coffee.

Absolutely loved this place.

The view from the room was great. They made the best chicken curry in Bali. The owners were very friendly.

Wi-fi was very weak.

The service was great, we’ve got fresh fruit everyday. Very nice couple was taking care of us. Beautiful view into the nature. Very close to Sekumpul Waterfall. There is a possibility of getting a guide to the waterfalls and also taxi or motorbike rental.
