Govind Niwas Home Stay

The stay is really made comfortable and homely by the owner of the Homestay. The house lady takes extra and special care to make it a pleasant experience. The breakfast given by the house lady is home cooked, delicious and filling. The rooms, the bedlinens and the wash rooms are well kept and clean. The homestay is located away from the din of city and is situated on a small highland overlooking a ridge area. It makes the pace peaceful and serene.

Lack of dinner options, unless one makes the use of kitchens oneself

One of the cleanest placed I stayed in India. Well furnished room, comfortable bed, balconies, social area, everything is remarkably clean, bathroom included. I really enjoyed staying there. This is a private home and the care taker is clearly on top of things. The owner speaks good English, his wife very little, but there’s always a way to get around and her good attitude makes everything work. The place is remote from the main areas, therefore very quiet.

Although it is sometimes possible to arrange for some home cooking, restaurants and attraction are far. Quite far for a walk. There is, however, a little food store nearby, if you have time to look for it, but’s very limited.

Nothing. There was no way to sleep peacefully as only a thin blanket was provided in December winter. Also access to the kitchen was denied after paying the money. There was no electric kettle to warm drinking water which is a basic requirement if you are denying entry to the kitchen. Absence of sufficient lighting in the rooms.

Everything was charged extra from soap to heated water for the bathroom. Water bottles were not provided. I had to bring my own bottles. Location is outside of the city and it's very difficult to reach there and also it's not safe as it's the last house in a very isolated area.
