Titardi Garh- 18th Century Castle Homestay

Great hosts, great food, great rooms. Very peaceful and beautiful stay.

Rooms are spacious. It is bit away from the main city but that gives you calmness. Property is really good and well maintained. Hospitality is very good. Food was excellent. Caretaker and owner bot are very good and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit Udaipur again just to stay again in this property.

Literally everything was great. Location, Property, Service, Staff, Facilities, Home made food, Hospitality everything was great. You will also get to learn a bit of history about the place. Do not miss this Gem.

The property is very well maintained, safe, and quiet (a rare find in India). The spacious rooms are a lovely blend of traditional and modern interiors. No matter which room you choose, the view will always be beautiful. We also appreciated the quality windows with integrated nets that allowed us to air out our room without worrying about mosquitoes coming in. Make sure to actually spend some time at the place to use the rooftop terrace for bird watching, sunbathing or star gazing. You can also book a variety of activities and pick up/ drop off service. Shiv Singh, the manager and good soul of Titardi, (and the cute pets) made our stay truly memorable. He gave us plenty of helpful tips and recommendations whenever needed and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. If you are someone like me who is not much a fan of outside food, you will enjoy the home cooked food from Titardi kitchen. We highly recommend this place!

Birds kept in small cages

After spending two luxurious nights at a Taj property in Udaipur, we decided to experience something more intimate and historic by staying at Titardigarh, a fort turned into a homestay. This decision turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Despite having enjoyed the world-class amenities of the Taj, the warmth and personal touch at Titardigarh made our stay here truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality that made us feel instantly at home. The staff treated us like family, ensuring that every detail of our stay was perfect. The fort itself is a living piece of history, with each room and corridor echoing tales of a glorious past. Our room was a perfect blend of historical elegance and modern comfort, offering a unique experience. The dinner we had at the royal dining hall, seated at the royal dining table, was nothing short of a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The ambiance was magnificent, with the grandeur of the hall making us feel like royalty. The meal was a culinary delight, featuring traditional Rajasthani dishes that were both authentic and delectable. Dining in such a historic setting, surrounded by the timeless beauty of the fort, was an unforgettable experience. Special shout out to our care taker at the property - Mr Shiv Ji, who made sure to take care of all our needs and at the same time being our guide to this place. The dinner was one of the best I have had during my travels. Also, their 2 dogs - biscuit and buddy added to that factor of cuteness to our stay 😊 The serene surroundings of Titardigarh provided a peaceful contrast to the bustling city of Udaipur, offering us a chance to unwind and connect with the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. In summary, our stay at Titardigarh was a magical and enriching experience.

Very peaceful stay, away from the city crowds. Great views of the hills from the terrace as well as the room. Efficient staff and wonderful food. It's a pet-friendly place as well, although we didn't travel with ours, it was great to have animals around. The Laal Maas was exceptional, thank you Shelja ji for sharing your space with us and Mr. Shivsingh for ensuring we were hosted in comfort.

The only glitch (easily solvable) was that our dohars (light blankets) had some odor. When we informed the staff, they said that they couldn't replace it right away as all the rooms were occupied and they only had enough to cater to everyone and no extras. Since we were only there for two nights and we had already spent the first night, we went ahead with no option.

The hotel is perched on a small hill. It is a grandiose building with an impressive dining room. Meals are excellent and very affordable. The manager (Mr. Siu Ji ) is awesome, doing everything to give his guests a great stay. Price/quality excellent.

The rooms were sparsely decorated. In contract with the impressive dining room. No cupboard to put away your clothes. The hotel is about 20-30 min by car/taxi to the center of Udaipur. But lots of small shops around the property (and a rural feel).
