Ansari House

The place‘s tranquil atmosphere is amazing and was exactly what I needed after Varanasi. I spent every morning having a large breakfast on the beautiful terrace looking out on their fields and the Bodhi temple. Ansari and his family prepare all the food fresh with ingredients from their fields. If you want to see buddhist sites in the vicinity, you can either walk or ask Danish, one of the elder sons, who for little money took me on a day trip to Mahagala Cave and then Gurpa Hill, a must see!

The family is beatifull and all the members make You feel in Home and part of the family, Islam and your sons. The House is so confortable, the 2 rooftop have an amaizing view of the crop fields, so so peacefull and natural The place it's so clean, calm, save and the food they make is confiable and so tasty! Only 15 from the temple . I have a beatifull experience there to relax and enjoy the Nature. It's a beatifull family.

Extremely basic so if you dont mind sacrificing comfort and cleanliness go for it! The bathrooms are in dire need of cleaning.

What a beautiful experience we had at Ansari house. How good it is to feel part of the family so far from home. Islam was very welcoming from the first beginning. His space is beautiful, with a wonderful view, in addition to being calm and peaceful. It is a perfect refugee in India. The food is delicious and the chai is very tasty! Everything served to us was served with love and dedication. Seeing the children around the house, the birds singing and the peace of nature did us a lot of good. At one point I got sick, and Islam helped me with medication. It was a unique proof of affection! I recommend it 100% to anyone thinking of going to bodh gaya. And I will definitely be back. A big hug to you and your family my friend.

Ansari House is a true Gem— such a warm and welcoming family with the biggest hearts! They will do what they can to make you feel at home, and they are also supporting many orphans which makes me feel extra good about support the guest house ✨ Highly recommended!! ✨ Also, try the cauliflower paratha— sooo delicious! 😋
