The owner is very good in guest-manipulation

The first day, I would have liked to put 10/10. Islem, the owner is proud to say that he raises 24 children. All this is a lie. We stayed several days and discovered a dark reality. There are only 4 orphans, who do not go to school and they are the ones who take care of ALL the ungrateful tasks. In reality, slavery. I'll skip the details, but trying to get money out of tourists by using a well-trodden path, I find it disgusting. While these real children go to school or eat meat, the orphans clean the toilets, the big car of Islem or scrub the floor of the corridors. A shame. Many people in the village know this, but obviously the authorities have other problems to deal with.

Amazing lovely family, out of the crowd of Bodhgaya. 5 star is not enough just for have been meeting them. Rooms are basics but more then enough to me and we are talking about a budget accomodation so no complain at all!! Would be perfect a mosquito net cause there were a lot of them, but normal in this season. Great place anyway!!

"Cheap and friendly place to stay!"

10.0

It is a beautiful homestay, owned by a very kind and welcoming family. The house is a bit outside the craziness of Bodhgaya, yet still very close to the main touristic points, which I found to be a perfect mix. I hope to come back!

"Best budget place to stay if in Bodhgaya"

10.0

I'm a cyclist travelling across India for the past 5 months and fell sick by the time I reached Bodhgaya . In a touristy place as popular as Bodhgaya it's not easy find a relatively clean place in budget , but I got lucky and glad I found this place which was clean and price was pretty reasonable , it's just 3km away from the main centre. The owner is a really good person whose one of the best host I've met so far , and the kids who are working there are all being taken care of him and making sure they get proper education and I'm glad I was able to contribute a little by staying there. I stayed here for almost a week , recovered and resumed my journey after a week of proper rest. They do have laundry services too with a pretty reasonable price.

Food is a bit on the pricier side.

The house is outside the town which I actually liked because it was quiet area where you can see farmers life. To go to the town through a dried river it is about 15 minutes by walk. The ower and its familly are really friendly. It was nice to see how the indian family live. Food which they prepared was tasty. The rooms itself were indian standart but it is value for money as the place is really cheap. There is a roof top with common area which has a nice view for farmer fields.

Maybe sometimes it took much time to get your order. The owner spend much time talking with us and telling the story of his life and that he has 19 children adopted. To be honest after a while those stories where a bit overwhelming.
