"Exceptional"

Family was very nice, really beautiful homestay right in the centre but hidden away! Nice big room with a big bathroom that has hot water! Also room was surprisingly cool!

Big hill to walk up but not too bad!

"A great, affordable place to explore Ella!"

The location of Holly House Homestay is great - it is very central, located just off Ella's main road, but in a quiet residential area. The room was very comfortable with access to a terrace that overlooks the surrounding area and a good bathroom. We would really recommend this homestay as a great, affordable place to explore Ella!

The only thing is that the bathroom did seem to have a small any problem near the sink. Not an issue for us but just to highlight!

"Highly recommendable. Away from the noise of main street."

Nice clean room with a balcony and located off the the main road which keeps it quiet. As always in Sri Lanka, the tenant was super friendly.

The view from the balcony was bit mixed. There's a lot of building activities going on.

House owner was lovely and friendly

It was very uncomfortable to walk through the man of the house watching tv and the kid coloring the walls , the main house could be kept a little better as you have to intrude on the family a lot

"Perfect stay in Ella"

Very good place in Ella! The room is small, but has everything you need - including kettle and cups. There is also a terrace and very clean bathroom with hot water. Highly recommend!

"Excellent stay in Ella"

I like our stay in Ella! Holly House is located on a hill so it requires a fair bit of a hike, but that also means it's far from the busy highway and that spells quiet! Host family were kind. Room was clean and spacious, and given the climate, it was cooling. I slept really well. Hot showers were welcoming.

"Adequate room not far from the center"

Comfortable big bed. Electric pot available. Low price. Location near the bus stop.

There is water dripping from under the sink onto the floor, causing standing water. Quite cold in the room. The water in the shower is not hot, just warm. There are not enough hangers and hooks for things, it is inconvenient to place them in the room.
