Estuvimos súper bien. La cena y el desayuno estaba muy bueno. Nos sentimos como en casa.

La location, in prossimità di un bel lago da cui osservare molti tramonti. La gentilezza dell’host, che ci ha portate a Dambulla e Sigiriya con il suo tuktuk e preparato ottime colazioni. Ottima qualità/prezzo.

Nonostante abbiamo apprezzato molto la disponibilità e gentilezza del nostro host, non è stato chiaro fin da subito che gli spostamenti in tuktuk sarebbero stati a pagamento (comunque contenuto).

We stayed at Nidwary Homestay in Dambulla and loved the experience. The house is set near a peaceful lake in the jungle, offering a truly unique and authentic atmosphere. Its location is excellent: very close to the Golden Temple and just a short drive from Sigiriya, making it a great base for exploring the area. We are a family of four and were welcomed with warmth and genuine kindness by the hosts, who made us feel at home right away. Breakfast was generous, varied, and always delicious — the perfect start to our days. The place is a little secluded and not the easiest to find, but once there it feels absolutely worth it. A lovely and authentic stay we would happily recommend.

Very clean, well built, and maintained homestay. Friendly owner and beautiful location by the lake. 100% reccomend staying here!

We had a very positive and lovely time at Niduwari homestay. The host and the family were incredibly helpful and went beyond their way. For instance, our coach to Dambulla arrived at 3am due to delays and the host picked us readily. The host was so kind and warm, and it was clear he made a lot of effort to ensure his guests had a comfortable stay. The beds had a mosquito net attached which was helpful whilst sleeping during the night. The area around the surrounding the homestay is vibrant and lush, with plenty of foliage and plants. It was very relaxing to sit, read and take in all of the ambience.

There is not much to say that I didn’t like. Perhaps offering a dinner option maybe great? But there are plenty of good restaurants in Dambulla town offering fantastic food.
