Niduwari Lake Homestay

It’s a super nice place with amazing hosts! If you’re looking for a place to stay around Dambulla look no further. This homestay is all you need. Good location, helpful hosts that picked us up from the bus, organized best safari and shared a lot of information. Also food is great. Make sure that you have dinner at least once. We ended up eating here every night of our stay, was that good.

This place is right in nature and full of creativity! The owner has built everything by himself and you feel the care and love that they have put into this place. Food is great and the room is clean and big. I also forget my trouser there and the owner made sure that i received it at my next destination. How amazing & helpful. Friendly host willing to help, big garden, good breakfast!

I’d gone for cricket and the accommodation is ideally situated . Lakeside setting and well kept gardens are beautiful. There’s a pleasant walk from the accommodation to the temple along the lake dam. Room was great value for money..with hot water..clean comfortable bed with mosquito net. Home cooked Sri Lankan food was delicious.. I had breakfast and dinner for the 3 nights of my stay….I only wish I could have ate more. The family are lovely and made me very welcome . I was met from the bus on my arrival which was great and helped with my onward journey. Any tours etc can be arranged if wished.

Good place. Owner is a very good and kind person

My friend and I enjoyed the room and ambiance here! We stayed 3 nights while we explored Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, and Dambulla. The breakfasts and dinners here (dinners are an extra cost) were very delicious and we enjoyed eating with some of the other guests as well! The owner is very nice and arranged for meals whenever we asked for them and also our requests for string hoppers, papaya, and kurukku! He was our tuktuk driver for one of our day trips, which was convenient. We were able to pay for laundry here as well. We also liked watching the sunset at the lake nearby! It would have been nice to have been told the prices of the dinners, laundry, and bus stop pick ups ahead of time-- we totally could have asked but we're just used to being told upfront if something is an extra cost. This is on us but I wanted to write it here in case someone else isn't used to asking for all prices.
