Shower was average but still excellent value

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. I originally booked a budget room, but was lucky enough to receive an upgrade — and wow, what a surprise. The room was absolutely fantastic, with a spacious balcony and truly breathtaking views over the mountains, rolling hills, and tea plantations. Waking up to that scenery was incredible. The breakfast was excellent, and the dinner was just as good if you decide to eat there as well. The hotel can also help arrange tours and activities. I booked a trip to Lipton’s Seat through them, which turned out to be a beautiful experience and a really enjoyable tour. A special mention as well for the layout and atmosphere of the property itself. The garden is beautifully designed and full of tropical plants, which makes the whole place feel peaceful and unique. But what really made the stay stand out was the staff. Everyone was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Hairdryer needs to be requested so make sure to ask for it before they’re closed up for the evening. Wi-Fi in room can have poor reception. Suggest to get additional hairdryers and routers for little costs! :)

Wauw, wat een uitzicht vanaf je balkon! Je hebt een riant zicht op theeplantages en kunt zelfs Udawalawe zien liggen, bij helder weer. De kamers zijn ruim met grote ramen. Het bed is comfortabel en er is een prima douche. De ligging van het hotel is ideaal. Je kunt direct vanuit het hotel prachtig wandelen. Verwacht geen homestay sfeer. Het is met 15 kamers echt een hotel. Volgens mij is dit het mooist gelegen hotel van Haputale.

Het pand is erg gehorig. Dus je hoort erg goed wanneer er bijvoorbeeld in het restaurant met stoelen wordt geschoven.
