Quiet and cosy

The host Tom and Jill were nice. Rooms, beds, and bathroom are all clean and comfortable.

It’s not their fault but the Booking.com was not clear (or I couldn’t find well) the property is someone’s home like AirBnb. I honestly surprised when Jill came out from the property! I regret I haven’t prepared a gift for the hosts.

Our hosts Jill & Tom were very welcoming to their house; the room upstairs was very well appointed with a lovely big bathroom, both with all the comforts of home. We had a good run down of how everything worked in the house and were able to use space in the fridge & freezer. We felt very comfortable being in their lovely house and were treated very kindly.

There were no negatives

Jill and Tom were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and Jill had a lot of little extra touches in the room, even including homemade Xmas mince pies and shortbread. Very good quality toiletries and teas and coffee. Highly recommend.

A small fridge in the room would have been handy but I was given full access to one in the garage

A very comfortable home-stay with shared facilities. Two upstairs bedrooms and a bathroom were very clean and a comfortable stay for three of us. Meal cooking and tea making is downstairs, shared with hosts. Jill and Tom were exceptional hosts and allowed for use of the kitchen and outside patio when needed. Excellent location for both Waikanae town and beach.

Parking is down a long driveway and needs some reversing skills. Need to adjust to shared meal cooking and tea-making.

Beautiful clean and exceptionally friendly couple made you feel at home.
