Quiet and cosy

Very helpful hosts and a clean, comfortable and good-value stay. Just a little train noise a couple of times at night could disturb a poor sleeper.

The shower was awkward, not the fault of the owner but of the designer. Hard to prevent fine spray going over a large area.

TV did not work; the shower is a disaster. No shower door means the place flooded despite efforts with towels on the floor to stop the water from spreading. This meant the floor had to be mopped up and attempts made to dry but didn't have the equipment for this meaning the floors were wet the entire stay. Tea bags and coffee were provided but no cups, no sugar, no milk and no kettle provided so effectively no means of even making a cup of tea at any stage. Hosts were very nice but only met Jill when I arrived and Tom late the evening before I left. Parking was safe but very tight as there was no room to turn so you either reversed in (which off a busy street was tricky) or you reversed out and took your chances with the traffic.

There was no breakfast - pre-advised.

It was not very well marked, especially when I returned from my function in the dark be car. Maybe they could hang a balloon at the gate for lone travellers.

It was lovely and comfortable with a fabulous bath! 😊

Hosts are fantastic, warm and welcoming. The bedrooms were good size and beautifully decorated and the bathroom was modern and spacious. Thank you Jill and Tom for a great stay.
