The property is amidst the jungle and is a breath of fresh air. It is directly located between Khatiya Gate and Mukki Gate, so is convenient to travel to both. The staff is super super helpful and kind and are there for your every call. The rooms are luxurious and so comfortable, giving off very Turkey and Greece vibes. We had the whole place to ourselves and it felt like our private space. The food was so exceptionally good, totally home style cooked food, no oil no junk, absolute home cooked food which was just too good. The manager even called his wife to prepare us a village speciality which I won’t ever forget. It is a must must visit place, and is totally eco-friendly and environmentally sustainable, they use no plastic and living in the forest area is just amazing.

Our stay at Surwahi Social Ecoestate was truly unforgettable, blending nature, adventure, and comfort seamlessly. The property itself was a treasure trove of delights, offering a thrilling treasure hunt, invigorating river bathing in the Banjar river, and beach volleyball by its banks. As night fell, the enchanting sight of fireflies lit up the pathway, adding to the magical ambiance. Early mornings were a treat for bird enthusiasts, with serene bird-watching sessions by the nearby stream. Spotting 11 bird species, including the magnificent Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, was a joyous experience. Our culinary journey was equally delightful, with a traditional village dinner featuring three unique vegetables. Venturing beyond, the area offered unique experiences like moonlit walks, refreshing waterfall bathing, and the grand Baihar Devi festival. We were fortunate to have Jr Bajrang (tiger) sighting at Kanha National park safari. Back at the property, the family rooms were tastefully decorated with rustic charm and modern comforts. The natural swimming pool and outdoor exercise area provided relaxation and recreation amidst nature's splendor. The staff, led by property manager Narendra ji, were incredibly hospitable, making us feel at home. Head of housekeeping Anil ji even invited us to his home for dinner. And the food! From breakfast to dinner, every meal was a culinary delight, featuring local specialties (black gram dal, lemongrass tea, milky mushrooms) and inventive dishes.

We loved everything about the property and the hospitality and flexibility they offered towards us. We were the only guests during our stay, so maybe we got utmost priority. They have limited staff being a remote property. But about the rooms - they are so beautifully made and maintained. Totally worth every penny.

considering the tariff and the location of the property, atleast half-board food plan should be included in the stay tariff. The property is around 25kms / 40 mins away from the nearest Safari Gate (Khatiya Gate). The roads are good, so I can't complain much.

Need some more light in the rooms especially in the winters

I really enjoyed the peaceful, natural surroundings of the lodge's location. Being immersed in tranquility and nestled amid beautiful scenery provided the perfect relaxing getaway. The staff was also excellent, making me feel cared for as a solo female traveler through their warm hospitality and attentive service.

Everything about my stay was enjoyable. There was nothing I disliked about the property.

Solitude, Serene and home like away from crowd

Well, I stumbled upon this cool place called Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha, which is about 25 minutes drive from Kanha National Park which will take you through the picturesque villages and buffer areas. I found it on a blog and booked it on booking.com. Super easy! I felt slightly hungry that night and asked for something light to eat. They brought me this delicious local dish called khichdi. It came with curd, homemade mango pickle, tadka, and papad. It was so tasty that I ended up having a full meal! The next day, I decided to explore the place and was blown away. It's like they've created this mini forest right there. It's all eco-friendly and sustainable (Yes, I understood this term with practical examples when I went on the estate tour where they showed me the Bio composter, explained about the construction without cement, Eco water heater, fresh vegetable garden and much more). The whole 10 acres is like a wilderness but with all the comforts you'd want. In short, if you're ever in the area and looking for a luxurious and eco-friendly place, Surwahi Social Ecoestate Kanha is the spot. It's more than just a stay; it's an experience. And the staff? They're the best!

I believe they have one of the biggest rooms that you can get can be found here. Loved the ambiance and the environment, the peace and the surroundings. Immediately fell in love with the lemongrass drink on our arrival; the authentic local breakfast, lunch, and dinner were fantastic. Kids loved the artwork and got hands-on with the local Gond artwork through a local artist. Our heartiest thanks to Mr. Patle for his lovely gesture and the knowledge of the local world. Thank you, owners, for the book "Early Sunrise Early Sunset" and the regular follow-ups you did during our trip.

There wasn't a thing about this place that I didn't like.
