Hervorragende Verpflegung, sehr schöne Einrichtung, tolle Lage und eines der schönsten Badezimmer, das ich je in einem Homestay gesehen habe!

Ne Pakku Manja family is without a doubt the best Homestay we had been in a long time, Meyske (the owner) and her family will make you feel very welcome and cared! The house is situated a couple of minutes from Rantepao, acess is very good and easy, also you can ask Meyske how to get there, she was our guide in Toraja as well helping us how to plan our way to the togean islands and this made the whole difference, also if you want to merge and fully understand what’s behind the Toraja traditions she is the one, the guided tours are very well explained and organized, make sure you don’t miss it. We will definitely come back, a place where you will feel home!

Meyske and her mom were outstanding hosts. The house is beautiful with an amazing bathroom, the vibe is cozy and the food her mother prepared was so tasty. Even days after m departure, Meyske still helped me with recommendations. Can’t thank you enough. 11/10 stars

The Homestay itself is cozy and cute. The Common Area feels like a big, comfortable Living Room. It’s decorated beautifully and makes you feel at Home Right away. The Shared bathroom could not be prettier. Full of plants and a halfway open, it has a little bit of a spa feeling to it. The rooms are simple, with no actual ceiling apart from the houses roof and also no window glasses, but cozy and with comfortable bedding (+mosquito net). I felt super homey! The traditional houses in Front of the homestay belonging to the Family give you the Toraja vibe. The Most amazing about this place to me was having Meyske as my Host. Meyske is not making anything up. From the Minute you meet her, she is authentic, honest and simply herself. She will call you for Dinner by calling your Name loudly, like you have been Part of her Family ever Since. Meyske openly Talks about anything on her mind and is deeply caring about her guests having the best time in Toraja Region. Whatever are your Plans, she is directly invested in helping you with anything you need, let it be in Toraja or anywhere else in Sulawesi. What amazed me even more was her Guidance through Toraja Culture. I highly, highly recommend her as a Guide - not only as a Host. Spending 2 days with Meyske as a Guide, I felt like I was vividly absorbed into Toraja’s culture and its old beliefs. Meyske is creating pictures with her words and has a way of explaining that made me feel as if I was reading an interactive book, making everything about Torajas past come alive in my head. Every Minute I spend Listening and Walking through all the Places she brought us, I was more and more into it and so eager to learn it all. It was probably the best guidance I have ever experienced, with so much Knowledge and without a Single second of boredom - even though it was intense. You can feel how Passionate Meyske is about her Culture. She manages to answer critical thoughts and understands Western views and questions.

Meyske can be hard to reach at times - you may be better of giving her a call than texting, if it is urgent. Also a few more Storage options in the rooms would be useful (but are planned as I heard) :)

J’ai vraiment passé un séjour incroyable chez Meyske et David, qui nous accueillent comme un membre à part entière de leur famille. Je suis repartie le coeur lourd, je serai bien restée plus longtemps ! Niveau confort rien à dire : les chambres sont spacieuses, la literie hyper douillette et les toilettes et la salle de bain occidentale toutes neuves et hyper propre ! Mais c’est surtout pour l’expérience humaine que je recommande chaudement de séjourner ici ! J’ai adoré la convivialité des petits-dej et des dîners qui, pris tous ensemble, sont enjoués, copieux et vraiment délicieux ! Meyske et David sont toujours disponibles et soucieux de fournir des informations sur la culture et la région, aider à se construire un itinéraire, à louer un scooter ou à booker des billets de bus. Meyske est aussi une guide passionnée hors pair qui m’a fait découvrir sa culture de la façon la plus typique possible, mais aussi sa région, ainsi qu’une école où j’ai pu donner des cours d’anglais par la suite, une expérience super enrichissante qui m’a énormément marqué. Pour toutes ces raisons, je conseille vivement ce Homestay pour de belles rencontres et une vraie immersion dans la culture Toraja ! Encore merci Meyske et David 🤍

Super Lage, wirklich schöne Umgebung und das schönste Badezimmer auf der gesamten Reise :) es gab auch leckeres Essen und Meyske ist in allen Belangen sehr zuvorkommend. Ansonsten kann ich die zweitägige Tour mit Meyske nur empfehlen!

Uns hat es nicht gestört, aber durch die offene Decke und Blechdach kann es nachts durch Tiere/Regen/Nachbarn etwas lauter werden. Es ist aber nichts was durch Ohropax nicht gelöst werden kann ;)
