Kanda Homestay

The clean and spacious room, the comfortable bed with a blanket (which I've discovered is not a given in Bali, even in hotels) and the cosy terrace looking out into the small garden. I did not meet Jack but Nyoman, who's Jack's brother, welcomed us warmly and was always so friendly and made a delicious pineapple pancake. Ditto Ketut who brought us our coffee and breakfast. Their dog and cats also dropped by often for hugs and backrubs. We also took a one day tour with Jack's friend Neck and had a great experience walking the rice terraces and visiting a friendly farmer's home. An all round memorable homestay experience!

It was a bit far, about 15mins walk, from the most picturesque part of town but can't complain given the price and all the other positives mentioned above. A floor towel for the bathroom would be a great addition

Velmi přátelský přístup, vstřícnost, zahrada, pitná voda k dispozicí na terase, dostupnost stravování, rýžové terasy v dosahu pěší chůze. Jack byl velmi nápomocen při naší nemoci, která nám komplikovala pobyt, za což mu velmi děkujeme.

Really nice people with beautiful conversations

Schön gestaltete Zimmer mit sehr besonderem Bad in einem kleinen, schön angelegten Garten. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Inhaber. Wir wurden mit vielen Ausflugstipps versorgt. Kaffee und Tee wird jederzeit angeboten. Wasserspender sind vor jedem Zimmer vorhanden. Roller wird von den Besitzern organisiert.

Leider hat es im Bad nicht so gut gerochen.

Gezellig, knusse homestay. Erg smaakvolle inrichting en heel passend bij Sidemen. Eigen veranda met zitje en bank. Fijn plekje. Ontbijt wordt keurig verzorgd en heerlijke gember thee erbij. Zowel Jack als zijn broer zijn heel benaderbaar en helpen je bij je vragen. Regelde een scooter driver voor de dag voor mij om omgeving te verkennen. Twee nachten hadden er meer kunnen zijn!

Omgeving is erg vochtig. Is gewoon zoals het is :) maar daardoor wat sterkere vocht geur in de kamer. Voor mij was dit geen probleem. Kleren / schoenen drogen er alleen amper.
