★★★★★ We had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The location is peaceful and perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was delicious, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, featuring a large wardrobe and two bedside tables. The air conditioning worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable temperature. The bathroom was not only clean but also surprisingly large. The accommodation is about two kilometers from Tangalle, but the nearest beach is within walking distance. The food at the in-house restaurant is especially delicious – highly recommended! We would love to come back.

We liked everything with Deshan homestay. A very friendly family runs the place. We hade our room upstairs, with a private balcony with nice view. When we arrived the AC didn’t work correctly and even if it was late in the evening the owner took care of the problem and solved it, he had to replace it with a new one. Great service 😄. We had our breakfast every morning in the family restaurant, great and yummy with excellent service. We also had our dinner there, well cooked seafood and fish with a delicious salad. We stayed four nights and after two nights, we had a refresh of bed sheets and towels. The homestay is a few minutes walk from the city Goyambokka beach .

Nothing great location

Lovely place near the beaches. Family run place creates intimate vibe, and the place’s food options are good! Many people come to Deshan only for dinner. Wifi was really good compared to others. This place is also relatively close to Silent Beach, which is really nice.

The blankets were not very fit for purpose. The lock in the locker didn’t work.

I liked literally everything about this family and this homestay. I definitely recommend you to choose this place if you search for an accommodation with a good price, good care, amazing food and a clean and neat room with a/c. Breakfasts were crazily delicious, we stayed for dinners too and it was so so so tasty! We are vegan, so we might seem a bit difficult, but it was not a problem for this family to prepare variety of traditional dishes that met all our dietary needs 100%. They helped us with super economical scooter rental and tuk tuk taxis. WiFi was working well, the room was clean, towels too, a/c was working well and the price we paid was in my opinion not enough for what we received. We are very very grateful and wishing this family all the best!!! ❤️❤️❤️

So far probably the best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. It was very fresh and clean. The bed was comfortable and big. The room is spacious and the AC is good. Every room has a terrace/balcony. It's a 5 minute walk to Goyambokka and a 10-15 minute walk to Silent Beach (the prettiest beach we have seen here). The family is very kind and the food is delicious. The rice and curry especially was one of the best we've had. It has 4 different curries and it's a massive portion (enough for two people). The breakfast with fresh toast, fruit and egg was great.

We came for one night and stayed for a whole week 😁 After traveling by tuktuk through Sri Lanka this accommodation was the first one we felt really really good: room is clean, no mold, good working AC and the owners are very friendly. The western breakfast is delicious (with fresh fruits) and in the evening we didn’t even eat anywhere else because the restaurant is really good. Our favourite is the vegetarian rice and curry variation. Big portions and they change the curry’s day by day so it doesn’t get boring. One big big plus point: They changed the WIFI during our stay at the accommodation so that you have a good working and stable connection which is rare in Sri Lanka 😅 The owner are so attentive and offering there help without being pushy. The location is good with a close beach nearby and not in the loud and busy city area. 👍 Totally recommend that place ✌️our favourite place in Sri Lanka.

The place is at a very comfortable walking distance to the beach. We had a cozy room with a small terrace and we could hang our wet clothes outside on a provided rack. The breakfast and dinner was really good. The family cooks everything completely fresh so it’s better to order the meals an hour or 2 before dinner time. The whole family was super friendly and helped us with everything - from ordering a tuktuk to writing down the bus connection we needed to take. We can absolutely recommend! Thank you :)
