Deshan Homestay & Restaurant

Breakfast was delicious, plenty of fruit every morning. The water pressure of the shower was great.

Inside the room it was very warm (warmer than outside). Even in the evening it didn’t cool down. There was no air in the room and only the ventilator could give us a little bit of cool wind.

Lovely family and nice place nearby the beach. Delicious breakfast!

One of the nicest guesthouse I stayed at during my trip! I kept extending my stay and I could have stay even longer! The room is absolutely spotless, very clean, spacious and modern. It's super well equiped. It has a very nice balcony with chairs to relax in. Bed is super big and super comfy. The bathroom is big and spotless too. Super nice and hot shower. Wifi works really well. Beach is a few minutes away walking distance and Silent beach, which is amazing too is walking distance from the guesthouse too. Breakfast is great. The guesthouse also has a restaurant, I had most of my meals there and the food is so good and very cheap. The family who runs the guesthouse is adorable, and very nice, always happy to help you. I just loved my stay and I highly recommend Deshan Homestay

Everything. Honestly. - Room is spacious, super clean and well equipped (wardrobe, soap, towels, broom, bin, toilet paper,…). Balcony is nice and big. - Breakfast (and all their menu) is delicious. You can choose between many options. Quantity is huge, quality amazing. As I stayed nearly 2 weeks, they often offered me to try some local food or sweets. - Location is in a quiet and beautiful street, 3min walk from the beach. - The family is fantastic… all of them kind, caring, thoughtful, smiling, joyful, generous… I had a sea urchin spike in my foot and they have tried everything to remove it themselves and as it didn’t work they drove me to the hospital, waited there with me… Even if the place was bad I would recommend to go there just to meet those amazing people. But this place is also one of the best I stayed in in Sri Lanka !!! …. go go go!

I have to say that the wifi is not always the best… sometimes very slow… BUT tell them when it happens and they can fix it :) so no problem. you just have to be patient sometimes.
