Taman Ayu Ubud

The location was absolutely prime. It was a 3 minute walk to get to the main street of the city centre, and right across several delicious warungs. It's also right beside a temple that offers kecak performances twice a week put together by the local community. The breakfast was home cooked, simple and good- it was brought right to my room. The room itself was comfortable, nice queen sized bed with big windows. The water was hot and good water pressure, and the air conditioner was strong. The design of the surroundings was so intentional and beautiful, it brought so much peace despite being in such a touristy part of Ubud. The hosts were also super kind and wonderful- I enjoyed chatting with them and they helped me with moving my luggage to and from my room which was much appreciated.

It would have been nice to have some shampoo and body wash included, the only thing the washroom came with was a bar of soap but that's ok for the price I paid. There were many steep steps even though I stayed on the main floor, maybe 8-9 in total that are each over 1ft high so for anyone with mobility challenges, this is good to keep in mind.

The bathroom is so clean, with enough ventilation. Appreciate that it’s always dry. Sunlight comes through the glass tiles, making the bathroom very bright. The room is very well maintained, with a very comfortable bed. It’s my second time here and it’s one of the places I’d stay at, if I’m in central Ubud. Worthy of mention are the tall windows which allow adequate light and air into the room.

Would be nice to see supply of shampoo and liquid soap. There is only a small soap supplied.

That was an incredible experience! The people running the place are very kind, the room was great and quiet at night. The location is ideal. Couldn’t ask for something more🥹☺️🙏

Clean place, great location, simple but good food, and the internet worked well. For the price, it’s a very good option. The host was kind and helpful.

The only thing we missed was basic toiletries.

Wonderful family and host. Delivered beautiful breakfast each morning and always welcomed with a smile. She also made sure I had a water boiler and silverware to use.

The burning of whatever was being burned was quite strong every day that I was there. It made it hard to breathe for me and didn’t make me be able to enjoy and sit outside. That was a bit of a bummer.

お部屋が綺麗だった。お湯も出た。朝食も美味しかった。コミュニケーションがスムーズだった。オーナーさんが優しかった。朝と夜は静かだった。

備え付けの飲水とドライヤーがあればもっといい！シャンプーがないこと。敷地内の犬が追いかけてきて怖かった。朝食のお湯のポットにプラスチック破片？が入っていたこと。気がついた次の日は飲まなかった。

Everything was very nice; kind and helpfull owner, clean rooms, good central location in Ubud. Overall a very good value for what you pay.
