Phong Nha Mountain House

What a lovely relaxing place to stay after a few nights in the city. The bird songs, the beautiful mountain air, the local riverside restaurants...exceptional. Breakfast was included and it was delicious! Everything cooked to perfection.

Wonderful stay, arranged early check in and transport from Phong Na following journey on sleeper bus. Staff so attentive, gorgeous breakfasts and beautiful meal one evening. Very peaceful. Treated like part of the family. Hired scooters to get around to visit caves etc. Great suggestions of trips to do in the area.

The bungalows were exceptionally beautiful. The family that runs the property had great communication and even though this accomodation is slightly outside of the main town, I highly recommend it :)

From all our month trip in Vietnam, this had to be the most heart warming and touching place we stayed at in Vietnam. This small place, run but a hard working family was a great 3 days stop for our family. Not only is the place very cosy, clean and magic but what truly made it special is the helpfulness and kindness of the personnel. First, they organized a shuffle for us, at 2 am, since our bus arrived 4 hours earlier in an unexpected manner. They were of a great advice regarding the tours to book especially with young children. They provided a heater in the room. The home made dinner were delicious and authentic. Seriously the price is totally under estimating the comfort and kindness of these people. Again, many thanks for your hospitality and care.

Nice spacious rooms, quiet location and really cool ambience, with breakfast by a little lake. Really helpful host, and good breakfast with lots of options. Helped us arrange moped rental and helped with our transfers.

We didn't quite appreciate how far this is from the part of Phong Nha that has all the restaurants. It's over 30min on foot and a substantial trip on a bike. Speaking of bikes, they're free to rent, but basically falling apart. OK for going to town, just about.

A beautiful oasis of calm set off the road with just six lovely bungalows. Ai is an exceptional hostess backed up by the lovely Duyen - super helpful, kind and great cooks! The delicious dinners are an absolute bargain - soup, 3-4 dishes plus rice & fruit for dessert with a drink ( beer, soft drink, water) for 100K. Water was freely available for guests as well. Bikes were complimentary to ride into town although there were small shops and cafes / bar within walking distance ( many by the river). A great place to relax or base yourself for great adventure activities. Ai will also book tours, (we did the 4 hour Paradise Cave adventure which was incredible) , organise transfers etc - nothing seemed too much trouble. Loved this place !

Hard to find any fault - maybe a big bath mat for bathroom?

Ms Ai and her family went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel comfortable during our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. Even before we arrived, Ms Ai answered all of our questions about the area and helped us book some tours and transport for our trip. The home cooked meals are incredible, especially the banana pancakes for breakfast!The room is spacious and very comfortable with good AC, perfect after a long day of hiking. Ms Ai even drove me to the pharmacy in town when I wasn’t feeling well to pick up some medicine. Laundry service is also offered at a very reasonable price, which we appreciated!

The homestay is a little farther from the center of town than some others, however there are bicycles available to borrow or you can rent a motorbike, so it’s not a problem. Also, be sure to bring enough Dong to pay for the room in cash, otherwise you can go to the ATM in town as you cannot pay with card. Again, not a problem.

Very welcoming with lots of information about available tours. Wonderful clean & comfortable accommodation. Delicious evening meals provided.
