Newton Cottage

A warm and friendly welcome. We stayed in a lovely room overlooking the garden, delicious breakfasts and lots of thoughtful additional touches. We had a wonderful stay in Jane and Jonathan's beautiful home.

Beautiful property, excellent location, everything spot on. Jonathan & Jane provide a wonderful personal touch to the whole experience, from pre stay communication, to wonderful hosting whilst staying at the property and a great breakfast (quality & selection). I couldn't rate it higher. Everything put together and curated perfectly. Wonderful if you are visiting Porthcawl or passing through; even better if you are playing golf and need somewhere to relax and unwind... Additionally the location is perfect in the centre of Newton, 3 minute walk to the Jolly Sailor for a drink and food. I will be back and it will my default / go to stay in the future.

The hosts are lovely, made us so welcome and genuinely warm people. The house is stunning. From the immaculate gardens to our entrance we knew we had found a hidden gem. Our room was stunning with big bay window overlooking the gardens and a homemade cake and tea tray laid out. The bed was huge and so comfy. And bathroom luxurious and spacious. Breakfast didn't disappoint with a lovely long table laid our for the guests with fresh fruits, homemade preserves, warmed croissants and hot toast. We had a wonderful time and fully recommend.

John and Jane the owners are fantastic. Nothing too much trouble for them. Lovely comfy room and bed. Welcome gifts of Brownies, prosecco and chocolates. Fabulous Breakfast. Parking at property too. Fab.

We were on the top floor and the shower could have been better but we both managed to shower. Not a lot they can do about it and it did not stop us having a lovely stay.
