Wir haben unsere Zeit hier extrem genossen. Die Unterkunft liegt an einer wunderschönen Bucht – ein absoluter Traum! Die Zimmer sind zwar einfach gehalten, aber sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das absolute Highlight war jedoch die mega herzliche Familie. Wir hatten das große Glück, das srilankische Neujahr gemeinsam mit ihnen feiern zu dürfen. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Für 50 Dollar bekommt man in Sri Lanka normalerweise viel mehr Komfort und Professionalität. Es ist alles sehr einfach und improvisiert, das Zimmer ist mit einer dünnen Holzwand vom Wohnbereich der Familie abgetrennt, man hört sehr viel durch…. Das Gefühl das einem alles extra verrechnet wird und man um alles extra bitten muss.

The family is very nice and welcoming. They arranged a good scooter for us for a decent price. Our daughter 8yo felt very at home there and they were very lind to her. Quiet AC unit. Sound of waves. 30seconds to the beach. Decent beds. Warm water.

Of the one month travel in sri lanka, in hotels at the same or lower price point the stay here was by far the worst. First off the family room is really poor; dark, smelling strongly of acrid cleaner, with a peeling linoleum floor, ants in the bathroom and separated by a cardboard wall from the family‘s quarters. Compared to numerous similarly priced hotels the breakfast was the worst that we had in sri lanka and was prepared with very little care ( cold eggs, no placemats, aweful coffee, no juice, cold toast, dry hoppers) and consistently later than arranged. This was the ONLY hotel of our month long trip which didn’t provide drinking water or some form of soap in the bathrooms or functioning wifi or help with bringing bags or reasonably soft towels ( very hard and rough). I don’t actually expect these things but it appears to be the standard in sri lanka at this price point. There are four dogs on the property which repeatedly woke us up with barking at night. All this would be ok if we paid 10$/night but not for 70. The value for money is totally not there and I have in a long time not felt as ripped of as here. I told all this to Charinth and requested a free night and to let me know the next day but he ignored me and did not say anything. In this regard we had also experienced price reductions from two guesthouses: in one our daughter cut her foot on broken tiles in the pool and another had a loud drip on our roof which kept us awake. In both cases the owners immediately offered solutions and price drops. Not here.

Great view with nice beach. Nice restaurant with view. A guest house with family

A fantastic place to stay hosted by a lovely, welcoming family. The property is right next to a quiet beach which is good for swimming. Eat delicious breakfasts and evening meals overlooking the beautiful bay. The room is very spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Nothing luxurious but perfectly adequate. The host family are very kind. They gave us a tour of their beautiful garden, in which they grow so many fruit and spices. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to return one day :)

The garden, food, forest was amazing Beach views right on the beach amazing surf! Felt like part of the family. Our hosts were amazing. Food was great!

This is a rustic guest house by a beautiful bay which is great for swimming and surfing. If you were a surfer it would be a good place to hang out. The room we had was clean comfortable air conditioning good bed and hot water in the shower if needed .Charith was a great host showed us his garden and Cooked a great fish dinner for us His mum and sisters made us feel like we’re part of the family when we left it was like leaving home Nice little place right by the beach

Location, property situated in a beautiful small not crowded bay, Nice garden with various trpical fruits. Frendliness especialy expressed by two ladies

Place is under construction, some walls are made out of carboard, bathroom is dissaster, pile of cement sacs on tarrace. Total lack of working Wifi

If you want to stay like in a family, this is the right place. Very helpful and sincerely people. You can get garden tour, ask about Sri Lanka's history and human habits. Beautiful ocean view, very close to the beach (50m). Beautiful and sparsely populated ocean bays with small juice bars in the area. Close to Tangalle town, easily accessible by TukTuk or bus for currency exchange and shopping

Breakfast could be a little more filling or more fruits and vegetables. At night I recommend earplugs as there is a bit of noise from the ocean waves and barking dogs, but that is the case in many places in Sri Lanka

Otis Reading wasted time sitting and watching over a bay. He would have loved to waste time here. As did I Came for 2 nights stayed a week. Feels like a homestay. Run by the kindest and most helpful family. Don’t worry the rooms are private. Especially the smaller lower room. Both have their own little courtyard to hang out in. We had the bigger room with our family with small children. Nice big beds. Brand new AC. Spacious and clean bathroom. Breakfast was really nice but we like to explore a bit more so we skipped it after a few days. This bay is still a small village now. Just enough bars and restaurants to keep it from being too silent. And a surprising high quality of those. Check my other reviews for tips. The local tuktuk guys can bring to the busy more famous beaches in the area in notime for a fear price. They also pick you back up to bring you home safely. Way better than hoping the uber/pickme guy doesn’t cancel again. Small details: A cleanup of the room is nice when staying longer. The black dogs are super nice but the white once barks. It should learn to behave. Don’t expect luxury, do expect value for money. I’ll remember this place for a long time. As always, everybody gets five stars
