A big 10 for everything! For the host, the service, the house, the surrounding area etc...The village is situated in a wonderful setting, especially if you like hiking or biking, don't hesitate to go to this wonderful place, you will never regret it!

The host was exceptionally kind and supportive in helping guests plan their travels and is invested in maintaining and rebuilding the culture of the area. I didn’t have a car and he drove me to the station multiple times and went above and beyond to make sure I found where I was going. The accommodations were clean, modern, and comfortable.

good place with a beautiful Aso volcano backdrop. Host very nice and let us go to dinner at izakaya with special menu ( horse meat. We enjoy it. Nice home and have one pretty dog golden retrivers. We recommend to stay here

Love stay. Host was wonderful and organised a meal reservation and drove us there without any additional cost. Home was lovely and clean. Other guests and us had great time socialising in common area. Amazing to be so close and have a view of mount aso.

Everything’s good! The heater is warm, we had three very comfortable sleeping nights.

If you don’t drive, you have to walk a little bit to get the house (up hill)

It is a very pretty mansion close to the mount Aso. The view is amazing and the interior is cute and beautiful. I especially appreciate the fireplace, it made the whole house very warm and cozy. The warmness is especially important in houses in Japan - in almost half of my stats during the trip it was freezing cold with AC being of little help. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He helped us to get the luggage up the stairs, gave nice travel advice, it was really fun to talk to him. In the morning he helped us with the coffee machine and with the tea for my mother, I was really greatful. And of course the dog! The owner's dog Leo - fluffiest and cutest golden retriever also lives in his own room in the house. The owner took it out to interact with guests upon their request and Leo was such a good boy! Very calm and well-trained, I fully converted to a dog person now.
