Anvi Home Stay

Nice spacious modest room, clean but not super clean. Hot water. The terrace is nice to have but it faces a construction work site, so the view isn't nice. In my room there was a fridge but I had to turn it off because it started playing Jingle Bells 😂. I swear. Don't count on the fridge.

The wifi doesn't work well, I needed to have work meetings and it was a big problem since the connection was weak all the time. My hotspot connection which is my backup option also didn't work inside the building. The building is very noisy and not soundproof at all, as I could also hear the noisy fan in the other room all night long. In the morning and day there are construction works and people walking up and down the stairs loudly. In the evening there are dogs barking loudly and continuously. Also, the bed are not very comfortable and the curtains are not light blocking so count to have full light after 6am.

Friendly helpful staff. Big room plenty if room and a mini kitchen top sink area which was useful.

Ashish, Imami, Raul and all the family are amazing host! Super kind and helpful, always smiling and they make you feel at home. In the chaotic Tapovan is an island of peace. Very recommended!

The noise of the surrounding work on progress in the neighbourhood'd building is sometimes very loud...but luckily it doesn't last too long. in the night is actually very quet

Beautiful rooms with a nice balcony. Really clean. The family is super kind and friendly. The location is also really good. I would definitely come back again

Hot water 24/7. Good shower and fully functioning plumbing. Nice little balcony with bars to keep the monkeys out and the sun streams in all day long. Great for doing a little bit of washing and drying. Very fast wifi. Great location with cafes and eateries within 5 minutes walk. Lovely people that run the place. We stayed our initial 3 night booking then extended our stay in Rishikesh for much longer. We really liked Tapovan and the value for money and lovely feel of the place is such good value in comparison to other areas in India. Really no hassles here.

You can sometimes hear school kids during the day and there was some loud music somewhere close by one night but it didn’t stop us sleeping. Generally the area is very quiet and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
