GBDonna and Marcus are such a lovely couple. Merrifield house was so beautifully furnished absolutely stunning. We loved the snug, perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the evening with a glass of wine. We will definitely be booking again. It's a long journey from Shropshire, but what a warm welcome from Donna and Marcus we had. Thank you both for such a lovely stay.❤️❤️❤️

GBGBDonna and Marcus could not have been lovelier, more accommodating or helpful. Some great recommendations for breakfast and quieter beaches to suit our family’s needs. There was also a slight misunderstanding with my parent’s room and Donna came up with a wonderful solution that got us out of a bind (of our own making!). The scenery was beautiful and we made wonderful use of the snug, an enclosed outside seating and kitchen area with a fire. A perfect way to share a family evening, relaxing and not having to find parking in Salcombe!
When we booked, we knew the location and that we would be reliant on a car to get anywhere, but in the busier towns nearby, parking can take some time to hunt down in high season, although not impossible, so be prepared. The only other point was the twin beds pushed together to make a double. With the lovely mattress topper, you couldn’t tell and it made for a massive comfy bed, but the two single duvets made for some logistical challenges, although for duvet hogs they would be perfect.
