Dannu's Homestay

Dannu is an excellent host and the tours he offers are great! I recommend it highly☺️

Dannu ist a nice guy who cares about your wishes very carefully. He booked the tour, as to be expected by the place's name, to the Ijen crater. It's not his mistake the the Ijen tour is a tourist trap, because there were no blue fires to see. After comming back from the volcano the offered a breakfast sandwich and hot coffee. Thank you very much Dannu for sending the pictures which our tourguide made of us in the crater. Danny did not charge the rented scooter as I did not use it much in the heavy rain at that day. The scooter was in a very good condition.

In the booked room it was very loud from traffic noise. I had to pay an upgrade for a bigger room to escape from the noise. I expected a simple room and that was ok so far but unfortunately the shower had no hot water. After becomming so wet and cold on the Ijen-trip I knew that there will be no hot shower waiting for me. Because it was raining so hard I decided to leave the place after one night without getting a refund. I did not claim this.

dannu is very friendly and speaks wonderful english!

Danu and staff super friendly, he is very responsive and helped organise a tour to Ijen and taxi from Bali. The place is very simple, small but comfortable (with earplugs) and good value for money. Breakfast in the morning made by Danu is very tasty. All in all very good value for money if you are willing to get something a bit more simple.

The room on the street is quite a bit noisy, but doable with earplugs. The problem is the Mosque at 4h30am on Sunday morning which starts praying real loud and there's no way to be able to keep sleeping :/ Nothing they can do about that but good to know if you plan to sleep there on a Saturday night.

Everything was really good ! The host is super nice and available ! He booked the tour for us for Kawah Ijen for a very fair price and he prepared breakfast for us when we came back. He also helped us for laundry and any other question we had! Would totally recommend !

very friendly and welcoming environment Dannu was able to organize a tour to ijen crater for a fair price for me and he even made me breakfast when i got down from the mountain. would highly recommend.

Danny was kind enough to ler me checkin earlier than the early checkin time. The room I stayed in was large, clean, the air conditioning was working perfect. The bathroom was cleaning, the shower was working good. Dannu is a genuine Indonesian honest and hospitable, he'll give you advice if you just ask him. The famous breakfast did not disappoint at all, the perfect carb protein combo to fuel the body after the Kawah Ijen hike. In the future if I come to Banyuwangi again I'll definitely contact him

What a great guy! I didn't have to do anything.. He fixed right away my trip to Iljen en they just picked me up at the hostel! After the hike he gave me a good breakfast. So friendly and helped me know where I had to go for my boat trip (it was so difficult to find it online). 10/10 for sure!
