Dinh Gia Trang - Homestay & Coffee

Super comfy

Our host, V was fantastic. She went above and beyond to help us during our stay here. From arranging meals, to a private tour to a village nearby, to sharing her experiences of living in Yen Bai. She was funny and friendly and was happy to spend a lot of time with us.

Nothing really. This place may not work well for solo travellers, or people looking for socialising with other travellers. It's quiet and out of the city. But it was perfect for our group of 4.

Dinh Gia Trang is a wonderful place to stay. The property is beautiful with many adorable kittens. The coffee is excellent and the beds are very soft.The people working there are one of a kind. I felt I had a home and will never forget my time staying at Dinh Gia Trang.

Gorgeous gardens setting and comfortable rooms beautiful welcoming staff happy to provide information and advice for exploring the local area and beyond as well as just to have a chat. Potentially a little out of the way, on the edge of the city, but this is part of the appeal, and easy to walk into central Yen Bai, or arrange taxi or motorbike rental to get around. Great drinks on offer at the on site cafe/tea house

I liked everything about the property. Vi has done an amazing job creating an inviting, comfortable feel to her Homestay. She is also a delightful presence and takes a personal interest in your well-being as her guest. The construction is all bamboo and concrete and feels like a nice departure from just about any place I’ve ever stayed. And cats! Lots of friendly kittens and cats roam freely. They are a really welcomed touch!

There is nothing I don’t like about the property.

We have been travelling around Vietnam for 6 weeks and this was the best hospitality we have encountered. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, the grounds are absolutely enchanting. As you enter you will be hit by wafts of cinnamon and the sounds of water features. This place is maximum relaxation. The coffee is amazing, as is the breakfast Bahn Mi. I really couldn't recommend this place enough and we will go out of our way to come back when we visit Vietnam again. I would give this place an 11 tbh, if you need anything Vi the owner will sort it out. If you're in Yen Bai you have to stay here

Leaving!!! Such a perfect stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and lovely place. The garden is very nice and they offer delicious drinks, smoothies and coffee. We slept in a traditional stilt house out of bamboo with a smell of cinnamon (with air-condition). From there, we did an amazing day tour with a scooter through tea plantations, rice fields, cinnamon forests and traditional villages into the mountains. You should have ridden a scooter before and start early for the tour. Vivi is a lovely and helpful host!

Comfortable and unique. Breakfast was very good, coffee excellent. The host speaks excellent English. This is a great place to spend a night or two between Sa Pa and Hanoi.
