Mambetron Homestay, Kri Island, Raja Ampat

Very good value for money! Raja Ampat accommodation is always simple (as long as you don't go to luxury places). Mambetron has bungalows with private bathrooms, which is definitely above the norm in Raja Ampat. The house reef is really excellent.

Due to a broken switch the bathroom light could not be turned off in the night, so I slept with a sleeping mask (from airplanes). But hopefully someone fixes the switch soon.

Decent sized room, clean loo with lid ( looks dirty but is clean) … pristine white sands, great reef, ace sea grass too. Saw large green pipefish, white moray, banded sea snake and snake eel all in sea grass area. ignore at your peril:))) 7 turtles in one snorkel session! I’ll be back!

Dangerous reed mats on floor could stick into feet as they break up. nice idea but they are not strong enough

in front of the stilt house there is a wonderful coral reef. corals of all shapes and colors, fish of all kinds, colors and sizes. turtles, 🦈 sharks, puffer fish, scorpion🐠🐟🐋🐡 all there at 100 meters. We really liked the hospitality of Thina, ❤️a woman and exceptional, attentive to every detail, excellent cook and a perfect organizer for all excursions. she and her family made us feel right at home 😍

I didn't like civilization, the progress that has invaded a heavenly sea with plastic😠😡😡

Totally renovated bungalows and the only homestay we found with private toilet. Everything is very clean and the food is delicious - we had fresh fish everyday!! We have an amazing beach right in front of our bungalow where there is a reef where you can do snorkelling directly from your balcony. Tina and her family are very helpful and if you want to go to do snorkelling or boat trip in a near or far away places they are always available any time to take you 😊 It is very near also to some diving center like Soul Scuba Dive that is excellent 👌 The best homestay we found in all our travel!

Excellent house reef for snorkling and close by you can find Soul diving, great diving center! The food was very good, fruits and fresh big grilled fish for lunch and dinner. Beautiful beach and hammocks to chill!

To be honest we booked this accommodation because everything was booked up and it was the only option. After reading some of the bad reviews we were a bit afraid about how it could be and in the end it was amazing! We had our own bathroom inside the hut, the hut was totally remodeled and the food was the best food we ate at Kri! Everything fresh and a lot of tuna and nice fish and fruit. Also the family was very nice and friendly all the time lending us the snorkeling set for free and drove us to our next accomodation at their boat as well. We were only 2 days but I really recommend this place! Also it is next to one of the best snorkel and diving areas of Kri.
