Leelu Homestay

We came as guests and left as friends. This was due to the absolute care that Roy bestowed on us during our stay. It included but went beyond the excellent local advice he gave us on buying spices at the wholesale market and delicious places to eat...to arranging our safe passage as we left on a national strike day. The five generations history in Roy's home is an unparalleled experience. Location is also great to walk everywhere but be in a quiet street.

Roy le propriétaire est très attentionné et toujours prêt à vous aider et à vous donner de bons conseils. Il sait aussi être discret. Ambiance familiale et très accueillante. Cerise sur le gâteau : une petite terrasse sur le toit très agréable et pratique pour les fumeurs ! L’emplacement est parfait pour découvrir Cochin. Je recommande vivement.

J’avais la petite chambre au 1er car c’était plein. Pas très éclairée. Préférez les chambres du 2eme ! Mais cela n’a pas gêné la qualité du séjour.

Roy is an excellent host, and was very helpful all throughout our stay. The accomodation is in an unbeatable location, right at the heart of Fort Cochin. The room was very spacious and there a lot of communal areas to make use of, like the lovely terrace.

Staying here is like staying at your grandparent's house. Mr. Roy is well connected and he can help arrange whatever you need. His recommendations are spot on. The location can't be beat. 5 min walk to Chinese fishing nets and main sites, really nice grocery shop around the corner, spacious children's park across the street. Room and bathroom was clean and very spacious and opened to a living area with fridge. Dutch-built historical family house that in itself is interesting to tour.

Need to bring your own toiletries and hand soap.

Host very welcoming, always trying to help. A very nice person. The location is in the center of everything. Don’t hesitate to book at this place!

Good location

There is a restricted feeling in the house, like you are a guest in someone’s house and always. Being watched. They don’t offer tea or coffee or even a bar of soap. We asked for some tea and were told “ we don’t do that but since you asked we’ll do it this time”. It’s those little nice things that most guest houses do really well but are completely lacking here. Not worth the money.

Top location and top owner.He made everything possible for us and explained about the hidden gems of the city.

This homestay is perfectly located in the heart of Fort Kochi, just a short walk from cafes, restaurants, sights, and shops. Roy, the owner, is an exceptional host—warm, welcoming, and always ready with great tips to make your stay even better. From the moment you arrive, you feel right at home. Beautiful heritage home with a great feel and lovely spaces to relax outside of your actual room. The location couldn’t be better if you want to explore Fort Kochi on foot or by tuk tuk. Minutes walk from great restaurants, boutiques and the coastal path that’s lovely to wander at sunset. My room was spacious with a pretty window looking over the street and the shower was the best pressure I’ve had in India. Roy and his team are lovely kind people that even got up at 3am to see me into my airport taxi. Loved staying there, felt very cosy and for a solo traveller as if with family
