Mr T and his family welcomed us into their beautiful Homestay. We really felt like part of the family. We stayed in a small bungalow, beds were clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend to do the 3 days jungle trek with the AMAZING Narin (our guide). Lots of fun guaranteed!

Ratanakiri homestay provides a family environment with multiple options for accommodations such as dorm beds, bungalows and private rooms. Mr. T and his family are very welcoming and make guests feel at home from beginning to end. The hosts are also very helpful with everything one might need such as recommendations for landmarks to visit, having food available at the homestay or setting up for jungle trekking. This homestay is also very involved with the community providing afternoon English classes to children and donations for the locals. Definitely a great place to visit and a good cause to support.

"Lovely family, great and authentic accommodation. Jungle trek is worth it, but ask for a guide who can speak some Englis"

7.0

Our hosts were great! Such a lovely and welcoming people. They created a real local family homestay experience. All families were good - bed was comfortable, mosquito nets and fans available, simple bathroom served its purpose. Nee is a great cook too!

It is really hard to give a rating for our stay, as the hosts offer not only an accommodation but also the jungle trek. We booked a two-day trekking with an overnight in the jungle, and have to cut a couple of rating stars because of it, as there is no other website we can rate it. The jungle was amazing, great organization, beautiful landscapes, and safe environment. However, we were told we would get some information about the jungle from the guide, and we learned nothing. It was really difficult to communicate with him due to a massive language barrier. We often asked questions, and he would be guessing the answer as if he wouldn’t know much about the jungle or local communities. We really enjoyed the trekking and the experience, but sometimes we got frustrated with a little or no information that we got from our guide (he mistaken an orchid with a fruit). In addition to that, our hosts didn’t ask us about our experience or a feedback about the guide. We had a lovely time in the wilderness, but for a $90 each of a trekking with an overnight, you’d expect a little bit more information from a guide - especially knowing that, our host used to be a jungle guide for the last 15 years or so, and he said we will get all that information from our guide. Sadly, he was not our guide that day, but hopefully, will train new guides and equip them with the knowledge he has. Please note, that the price for a jungle trek depends on how many people have booked the trip, and may be way lower than what we had to pay per person.

Waw! First I want to review the people who are running this place, Ney and Vuti. They are just amazing, here the word "homestay" takes on its full meaning. They take care of you like you were part of their family, and you meet the family, mother, kids, nieces etc... the atmosphere is lovely, and with my experience of traveling in South East Asia there are not many places where you feel so welcomed 😍 Thank you so much for these moments of joy! Secondly I want to talk about the trek in the jungle, I've done the 3 days 2 nights. What an amazing experience!!! Smey, our guide, was the most knowledgeable person! He is passionate about his job, he knows so many things about nature, life in the jungle, history of Cambodia and much much more. He was never tired and always happy to share all his knowledge with us. I can only fully recommend this amazing human being for your next adventure in the jungle😍 Thank you, thank you, thank yoooooooouuuu!!!
