Ratanakiri Homestay & Jungle Trek

It is a homestay in one of the poorest provinces of Cambodia. If you keep this in mind, it is a great place, even if it does not meet western standards. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She is also running a school where she teaches English to poor kids. By staying there, you support this initiative.

The information about the jungle trecking was a little bit incomplete and misleading, but in the end we all came home safely.

I spent some wonderful days in this house! The owners made me feel like part of their family and the jungle trek with mister Pat was incredible. I advise everyone to spend a few days here to live a real cambodian experience.

Everything that a solo traveller need ! The family was incredibly welcoming, The food was great and they invite you to English classes with the kids. We did a 3 days trek in the jungle (90 dollars per person / person).I can only recommend this activity, you’ll sleep in Hamac and taste the amazing jungle food prepared by the guide. For solo traveller, they put you in other groups. A true authentic experience.

We received a warm welcome. There's a great atmosphere and it's nice to get in touch with the whole family. I can highly recommend the evening meal together. Very tasty. Starting point for jungle trekking with great guides.

If you want a real Cambodia experience and how the Cambodia people live, stay in this homestay, the family are very friendly and good human beings. The location is in a village. I did a Jungle trekking for 2 days in the rain season, was nice but a lot of water in the trekking, for me was different, good and a little difficult trekking. Stay here you are helping the community and childrens to have English class.

I absolutely reccomend you this homestay. It was the best homestay I have ever been! Everybody in this family is so kind and helpful. Ney teaches local children English and I had an opportunity to be in the class and observe and also participate. It was a great experience because I am a teacher. Ney also reccomended me what should I see in Banlung and around the city. A family offers jungle trekking. I chose trekking for 2 days. It was amazing. My guide, Patsum, is great ! He told me a lot about jungle and local life. I regret I didn't choose trekkig for more days. I also visited Mr T's restaurant. They serve so delicious food and the view from the restaurant is magnificent. I reccomend you to visit it, too !

Its the unique, authentic experience you can have. They helped me with some reparations I had to do in my motorbike and they were also so nice with everything.
