Tenam Garden homestay

I had travelled to kalimpong for the first time. It was one of a kind experience. I am coming back to this place.I recommend people to eat all their meal at Tenam. Garden in house restaurant mikoto .Binita who is the host Bidhya younger sister is a cook par excellent. I will back here soon. Since they are opening yoga and natuopathy.

Perfect homestay, a little outside Kalimpong offering a more quiet stay. Yet close enough to the city centre (approximately 15 min by shared taxi). Lovely host Bidhya helped us arrange things like transportation and came up with stuff for us to do. Clean and spacious room, great food and nice staff - highly recommended!

Giving a very honest review ~ Best hospitality ever. The caretakers are the sweetest and kindest people I have met. The food in house is mouthwatering. The rooms are equipped with everything necessary plus so spacious. Worth every penny.

Despite having high expectations, from having read other reviews, my stay at Tenam Gardens still managed to far exceed my expectations. I cannot fault anything about the place. From the communication with Bidhya from the moment I booked, the perfectly clean and spacious room, the beautiful grounds on which the homestay is located, the food in the onsite restaurant, to the most important part, the wonderful hosts of the whole family, everything about this place is exceptional. Some homestays are little more than a guesthouse under a different name, but at Tenam Gardens you have the beauty of the privacy of your own spacious personal area, combined with a true experience of staying with a local family. I actually stayed longer than I had planned because it is such a warm and welcoming environment. Besides what I have already mentioned I should also mention a few other things. If you are a lover of plants, especially flowers then you are in for a treat when you see the gardens. If you are a lover of animals then you are also in for a treat when you meet the numerous pets of the family. If you are in need of information about the local area then you can't ask for better hosts. I came to this part of Kalimpong with a specific goal of learning some information about the local Dr Graham's Homes, and I could not have picked a better family to stay with to help me along that path. Tenam Gardens is a peaceful, quiet, welcoming retreat for those who want to be away from the hustle and bustle of central Kalmpong. It has taken my seventh trip to India to visit Kalimpong, and while this homestay might be a little away from the main part of town, I would happily return here on my next visit to India. In fact I can't imagine I would want to stay anywhere else.

Tenam Garden was exactly what we were looking for. Clean and homely place, very tasteful interiors, pet friendly, lots of natural beauty, beautiful behaviour, helpful owner and staff, good food, connection with nature, proximity to Deolo as well as town market, easy to avail transport, amazing bonfire and what not. The list is pretty long. This was my parent's first homestay and now they are in love with homestays and we will only consider Tenam Garden whenever we visit Kalimpong.

I didn't like to leave. I was having so much fun and relaxation there.

The family at Tenams Garden was just incredibly welcoming and made our stay truly unforgettable. The house has a wonderful garden and is home to many animals all of which are curious and friendly towards the guests. We got a lovely tour around the area and ate delicious food at the homestay‘s own restaurant. Looking forward to come again in the future!
