The entire homestay experience was absolutely stunning. This was only made possible by Bidhya Rai(Owner)and her family(includes staff). What came more as a surprise was the presence of 4 ultra lovable dogs, 1 small Tiger(read cat) and her kittens. If that isn't enough you have a cow, roosters, ducks and swans around the property. The wonderful property is nestled amidst bamboo forests and the nursery / garden cultivated by the Rai family is outstanding. Reaching the property needs specific directions from Bidhya or local driver knowledge.. The hidden gem is the warm and cozy cafe/restaurant(Mikoto) run by Binita who specializes in Japanese cuisine. Food was great and we are very thankful for some special dishes served and breakfast options are good. Room was spacious and the bathroom was big. The standout was the patio adjoining the room where most of our time was spent reading books (good small collection) and enjoying the pets who visited every other minute for some attention. The kid in the family was thrilled with the pets and was real sad to leave. The hosts and the entire hospitality of a homestay is what matters, as any property related shortcomings can be overlooked. Here kudos to Bidhya, Binita, Arjun and Samy for treating us like family and making this vacation a truly memorable one.

Mobile network around the area is spotty but WIFI is available.

The place was excellent. We could experience the nature beautifully over there. Many plants and trees were planted there. The rooms were huge and cleanliness was well maintained. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

The location was a bit away from the town. Other than that, everything was great.

Breakfast was as per our requirement and liking

Breakfast was very good. In fact they customized it at times to suit our needs. The food was also well cooked, and presentation was excellent. The hosts took perfect care of us and even made good sightseeing suggestions. They were caring and kept in touch even before we arrived. The rooms very clean and ambience was good with a wonderful nursery attached to the property.

Rightly starting from the hospitality, food, decor, ambience and the openness, makes Tenam a perfect place for a weekend rejuvenation.

Bit lagging Wi-Fi...and mobile network issues....which I believe is nothing to do with the property 😀
