Marvellous Inn

Owners are really nice and friendly! We had delicious breakfast on pur balcony with the beautiful view on little Rawana waterfalls.. Everything was really nice and we enjoyed 2 nights at Ella :) Since I didnt feel good previous days, they prepared for me toast and butter just to eat something to feel good. :) Strongly recommend this place.

Our stay in Marvellous Inn was everything what we needed. Beautiful spot, comfortable bed, hot water, good breakfast and amazing view. Stayed both in the triple room and double room, prefer the double room as it has nicer view and better balcony. Owners are super nice.

If you have an older car like we had i recommend to park somewhere on the main road and take tuk to the accomodation. The little road to the accomodation is about 8mins drive from the main road and it’s really steep in parts, we barely made it there and back.

The problem is the location little far from the city center, because its on mountain it’s hard to walk so the tuk tuk will be your friend.

As the name suggests it was Marvellous. The pictures put in the posting does not justify the beautiful view that you get from the balcony. The waterfall view surrounded by lush greenery is out of this world. The only challenge is the approach road to the location. Very steep at places and narrow. However our 8 seater Toyota van made it to and fro from the main road though with a little difficulty. The hosts and extremely friendly and take care of every need. They have a tuk tuk and he took us to the market and back also waited more than 30 mins for us to buy things. He did not charge anything for that. Overall it is highly recommend if you are looking for some adventure.

The view from the balcony is wonderful and having breakfast out on the balcony is fabulous!

The internet connection was very slow and unreliable. This was quite frustrating. Also, the location is about a 20 minute walk from town (partially along with railway tracks), so a little bit inconvenient.

Tuk Tuks charge a little more to get to it as it is up high.

The owner of the house is very kind and solution-oriented. Since the accommodation is a bit outside of Ella, an external vehicle is needed. The owner of the business will help you with this. You have a pleasant waterfall view from the balcony side and if you wish, you also have the option of a fun trekking towards the waterfall. It has a sufficient breakfast. It was a very nice option for the Ella leg of our trip, where we usually look for peaceful locations. I wish we could have spent more time here.
