Marvellous Inn

Nosaltres viatjavem per oci amb una amiga i la veritat es que hem estat molt comodes. L’habitacio era molt gran i ens ha encantat. A mes a mes, l’espai exterior on ens portaven l’esmorzar era increïble.

És cert que estava una mica lluny del centre per camins de sorra i complicats, però els de la casa ens posaven moltes facilitats per poder arribar-hi en tuktuk.

Traumhaft schöne Unterkunft mit wahnsinnig schönem Ausblick von der eigenen Terrasse auf das grüne Inland und einen Wasserfall. Uns hat die Unterkunft wirklich gut gefallen! Das Zimmer ist groß, sauber und schön eingerichtet. Die Familie ist sehr herzlich und erfüllt einem jeden Wunsch: Sie haben uns einen Roller zur Miete sowie ein Taxi zum Bahnhof organisiert und Wäscheservice gibt es auch. Das Frühstück war richtig lecker.

Man muss wissen, dass die Unterkunft wirklich sehr außerhalb von Ella liegt. Man braucht sowohl mit dem Roller als auch zu Fuß etwa 15 min in die Stadt über wirklich sehr steile Berge. Dementsprechend ist es aber natürlich auch schön ruhig.

Sehr tolle ruhige Lage mit toller Aussicht auf einen Wasserfall in der Ferne. Fern von dem lauten Trubel der Hauptstraße. Unser Fahrer hat den Weg meisterhaft geschafft. Abends haben wir die Strecke mit einem Tuktuk zurückgelegt und die Kids und wir hatten viel Spaß. Die Gastgeber sind total herzlich. Das Frühstück war lecker und reichhaltig und wir haben auch abends zweimal dort gegessen und es nicht bereut. Serviert wird auf der eigenen Terrasse. Das war sehr schön. Zum Geburtstag meines Mannes haben sie, mit unserem Fahrer zusammen, uns mit Kuchen und süßer Dekoration überrascht.

Alles war bestens.

Fabulous views from this location .including sitings of the train passing by regularly! The rooms were spacious and the beds large and extremely comfortable ( mosquito nets were a bonus) The owners were warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us to ensure a comfortable stay.. The lane to it is a bit bumpy - but well worth the ride.

The best think is the view of waterfall from the balcony. I liked the host also. The lady was really kind.

The Marvelous Inn, Ella – Incredible Value and Highly Recommended Our stay at The Marvelous Inn in Ella was fantastic. The room was exceptionally clean, the service was warm, and the breakfast was amazing – far better than expected for the price. At just $30–$35 USD per night (off-season), it’s an absolute bargain and easily one of the best-value stays we had in Sri Lanka. Highlights: • Immaculately clean rooms • Delicious and generous breakfast • Outstanding value for money Despite these small issues, I would still give it 11 out of 10 if I could. For the price, comfort, and location, it’s hard to beat. I highly recommend The Marvelous Inn and would definitely stay there again.

Minor Issues (but nothing deal-breaking): • A bit tricky to access due to Ella’s one-way road system – not the hotel’s fault, but worth noting for first-timers. • A few cockroaches in the bathroom – nothing major, but could be improved with more regular pest control. • Hot water wasn’t consistent, and Wi-Fi reception in the room was weak.

Amazing view. Wonderful staff / well-run hotel. Comfortable beds and shower. Exceptional value for money.

Minor problems with the internet which the staff helped fix. Less of a problem than most of our stays in Sri Lanka. It's a good walk from the main street.

Everything was perfect : the location was a bit out of the center town, but not too far, which was great because it was calm with a beautiful 😍 The family was very welcoming, thoughtful and kind ! The room was very nice and very clean with a balcony with a view on the mountains and the waterfall. Very good breakfast directly brought to your balcony. We could rent the motorbike directly to the family which was very convenient and cheaper than in town. You can't go wrong by choosing this place !
